Nice winner with Midterm Joni, looks a very decent prospect wherever he goes.

Indeed sad news about Rajdhani, takes the edge of things.

Nevertheless, a good start to the new venture and a decent race to have gone with.

    Irish todayeh? Good luck Mark.

Ah, but if you went before the last Mark, you missed the highlight of the day………..Victoria Pendleton falling off inside the last furlong with apparently no help from the tack

Appreciate the flat season is almost over Mark  , and i know handicaps can be much trickier, but just a thought about Handicap of the Day going forward……maybe a completely separate feature on the thread to see how it goes, TRFers can then decide whether to play or not, possibly 1/2 stakes, that sort of thing – if you are so inclined of course! :mail:

Whilst in this sort of form Mark, maybe a dabble at a separate ” Handicap of the day feature “? If a suitable one appeals of course! :good:

Totally agree Joni, would undoubtedly gone close regardless, and it was a great call at the price – certainly wished i`d done it!

Interesting post that one Gordy, must be one that Eric Cantona wrote for you, simply weird
I do agree that Joni is to be heartily congratulated for getting a terrific result there, but honestly, things have dropped nicely for SDS with Hughes packing it in early,Moore nutting the starting stalls and both Doyle and Buick now riding Godawfuls donkeys all around the world – only left Fergus Sweeney to beat! ;-)

Well okay,on this occasion, I promise not to tell Greg that you put Romsdal up as a bet, as you know he is a big fan of the horse and won’t have anything said against him. Oohno sorry that should be “won’t have a word said FOR him” :negative:

A decent weekend Mark, but once again we appear to see the value of trainers in form with Fanshawe’s Star Storm at Ascot followed in by his other runner Missed Call in the Cumberland Lodge. It gets to the point where you think maybe, well personally speaking at least, that even more plus points should be factored in for this stat. :mail:

Well, we all know with Foundation Mark, that if he does fail, Harry Herbert`s book of excuses will be in use again! As you say Shalaa should win comfortably, but yeah, odds certainly reflect that.
Hes sent Gregs favourite jockey, Rab, up to Haydock for some interesting rides plus a newcomer for Hamdam with Dane ONeill aboard, and with the form Gosdens in, wouldn`t put it past any of them.Ooh nice shade of red but i have no idea why!!

Right, will have a go there then Mark, cheers. Also i see Gosden had another strong day today, so will give his runners some serious scrutiny too.

Just catching op on things here Ginge, and i find that i have to agree with Gord. to the extent that love must have taken over what little sense you ever had.
For years i have listened to you banging on about how the likes of Brighton should be closed down, and here i find you having bets at Kempton, Windsor and fecking Ripon. for goodness sake get a grip man!! ;-) :negative:

Oh, and good luck with your messy Oaks bets today and i hope you are both well. :bye:

I don`t know all the ins and outs of the situation precisely, but i understand that Ginge was trying to protect people from wasting their hard earned by possibly getting involved in an apparent Roulette system which seems to have involved the dangerous progressive staking plan.

He than received a direct communication from Cormack, who, instead of agreeing with Ginge`s sentiment, berated him for being patronising and telling him that there are other ways than his of making a profit. Well, i think we all know that, but it sure as hell aint by getting involved in a progressive staking plan on a game of pure chance!!
Now, i may be doing Cormack a disservice here as i haven`t read the communication, so now might be a good chance for him to elaborate.
I do know that Ginge has a genuine desire to prevent people from losing their shirts and if he sees something he feels will do just that, he will voice an opinion.

I also know that he will appreciate the support from members with whom he has crossed swords in the past, albeit in a  sort of mode
