It is all about opinion and I think Cobden is a bit of a coward as a jockey and some would say that is a good thing but surely you want a jockey that is going to brave over the last couples of fences or hurdles at least. I have lost count of the amount of times I have seen Cobden chicken out at the last and put the horse in to the bottom of the fence and it loses momentum and costs him the race. Now I am not saying he isn’t a good horseman but what you need is a great horseman that sees the good stride and goes for that stride rather than one that takes the safe option. Championship races like those at Cheltenham, Aintree and the like are often decided by being on the right stride or getting a good leap at the last and from a purely personal point of view I wouldn’t let Harry Cobden near my horse for one of those races.
Also I am not a fan on junior either and can understand the need for a replacement for him as he seems to have not a lot of strength and his tactical nous is somewhat lacking too!!
Surely there has to be someone better than Cobden available?? And also relying on McCoy to pick a replacement is like picking Vinnie Jones to pick a cultured midfielder

We hope you all have had a great Christmas and ae looking forward to a wonderful New Year Like you Graham both Tracey and myself backed Banbridge but I had also backed Gaelic Warrior to win and done forecast and exacta so there was a lot of shouting going to and jumping the last in the Raymo household and the poor dog wasn’t quite sure what was going on but we sooo enjoyed it . It was a terrific race.
Hopefully we will see many more great races over the next twelve monthsHave a good one tonight folks
