Just to keep things current on close calls…

    £5 TRIXIE

    Lucky Kristale :)
    The Fugue :D
    Say :(

A diminishing neck away from over £540 profit.

Still, £45 profit better than a kick in the nuts.

Just use Racing UK’s website for race replays (link in left hand column of homepage). It works just like the ATR website’s replays.

I’m in the U.S. too, and get free replays fine this way. You just need to register with them.

Two good books that cover the basics of reading form are:

Betting For A Living: Nick Mordin

    Value Betting: Mark Coton

The phasing out of traditional race titles.

For example, the ‘Grade 1 joebloggsbookies.com Novice Chase’ (registered as the Pendil Novices Chase) etc. Why the ‘Grade 1 joebloggsbookies.com Pendil Novices Chase’ couldn’t work is beyond me.

And the complete removal of a long standing race title to make some tosser of a sponsor happy. Such as tomorrow’s STAYER’S Hurdle.

    World Hurdle?

If you can’t get excited about the best chaser of the past 20 years, perhaps you need to find another pastime.

I can’t believe this isn’t on the telly, and it’s not on ATR so I can’t even watch the replays. I’m gutted.

RUK replays are free on their website moehat.

Split stakes on Fix The Rib and Crack Away Jack for me. A number of the other runners are starting to look like they may be past their sell by date.

I found it interesting that the day this story broke, the BBC News website had the story as their 7th or 8th major story of world news that day on their front page.

Was this really the 7th or 8th most important news story in the world that day?

And who is the person/animal rights activist at the BBC running their anti-horse racing campaign? Their social engineering of trying to turn the public psyche against horse racing gets more and more blatant.

    Same problems here.

RUK’s replay service is getting more frustrating by the week.

Can’t somebody there fix it? :x

It used to be a very reliable service, until they decided to switch to the dreaded adobe embedded player.

Still haven’t found out what time it starts, but it is Race 11 on a 12 race card, and last year’s race was at 7.40am BST

Race is off at 7.45am U.K. time.

If I walked past my local Porsche dealership and saw a beautiful brand new 911 Cabriolet for sale at 100 quid (because the sales assistant had forgot to put the last 3 zeros on the price tag), I wouldn’t expect to be entiled to buy the car for 100 quid, just because somebody made a cock-up.

    Same principal applies here.

You clearly know your onions regarding German racing Anglo, and know that Weiner Walzer was never a 33/1 chance, more like a 3/1 chance. It was a palpable error, and you and your mates quite rightly tried to pull a fast one on whatever firm it was you placed the bet with.

Your mates were lucky to get away with it. If they have anything about them, they’ll slip you a few quid as you were not as fotunate as them.

    Bud,

UK racing is covered on two different channels: ATR & RacingUK (each channel covers approximately half each of all UK races).

You seem to have already got live coverage online via ATR (free), but if you want live coverage of RacingUK’s races you’ll have to pay. It’s 25 pounds for international customers (approximately $40) per month for this. Here is the link:

    http://intl.racinguk.com/Default.aspx

If you don’t want to pay for live races, you can watch RacingUK race replays for free (each race available for approximately 1 week) here (hover over ‘watch online’ tab, click ‘race replays’ and sign up):

    http://www.racinguk.com/page/Home

You can also watch RacingUK races live for free (more than on HRTV, but not all) via Xpressbet in the U.S. if you have an account.

Finally, racecards and form are available at sportinglife.com (free), racingpost.com, and timeform.com.

Hope thats of some help to you.

On a positive note, I’m pleased they have retained Welsh National day.

    Didn’t expect that.
