Sounds like an interesting program if it can scrape data – how easy was that to develop Masterk?

Sounds really interesting Masterk. The results are good as well.

Suppose the 20% drop sums up racing.

At the end of the day if you can validate your selections using your system then at least you can be happy with your choice

What would be good is if someone was able to make an application for the iphone.

    Hi everyone,

Only just got round to reading this topic and I must say its been a very interesting read.

I’ve been interested in racing for the past 3 years and I’m yet to settle on a definitive way of making my selections.

My selection criteria has evolved during this time from the early days of just basing my horses on reading comments in the paper/net.

I really like using a statistical based approach to my racing but trawling through the Racing Post to find the stats used to take me ages. Once found I would then enter the data into a spreadsheet and assess the race from there.

After months of following the races this way I got annoyed at the length of time it took me to enter the data. I thought that there must be a solution out there, someone with a more computer based brain must have developed something similar. This is where I came across Adrian Massey, Patternform and ukracestats (Thanks Monster). Each one of these has assisted me no end.

I’m always interested in developments in this area but I don’t think that there is ever going to be a holy grail as the variables are just too much.

I’d be happy with a simple program that would do what I want it to do but unfortunately my computer skills are very minimal so this is a long way off if not a pipe dream.

Quadrilla – Sounds interesting and good luck with it

Betlarge – Nice site, looks complicated at first view but 20 years is impressive.

Sadly I cant get TVG on my dads brighthouse cable channels – gutted

Tried placing a bet at Bet365, no issue but unable to watch the race – still gutted.

Unable to access Betfair at all – gutted

I can get the audio but it seems as its on Racing UK I cant get access.

Hopefully it will be streaming somewhere else?!?

I was in orlando for Ascot in June and I could bet and watch via ATR no issues.

Cheltenham is not on ARTR though

I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel just trying to develop my own system of selection through the use of a spreadsheet.

One area that I’m particularly weak around is weight/handicapping i was just interest in find out a little more about this.

Thanks for the fineform info BTW

I think so, 10 bets at £1 each.

had it been a draw it would have paid £51ish.

Kept my interest whilst listening to the Owls get beat

    Good luck Pete,

    I went with:

Swindon vs Brighton (dodgy as Wilsons first game in charge)
    Accrington v Grimsby
    Aldershot v Dag & Red
    Shrewsbury v Bury

    Best of luck today

    Hi Pete,

i like the idea of perming the 4 games and i’ve been on the lookout for a ‘system’ to follow in the new year.

Maybe its me being stupid but could I ask why you have used,

    HHDHDDHHHD
    DAAADAADAD
    DDDAAAAADD
    DDADAAADAA

    HHHDDHDHDD
    HHHDHDDDHH
    DDHHDDDHDH
    DHHHDHDHHH

    and
    HDHHHDDDDH
    HDHDHHDHDD
    AADDDADAAA
    ADDAADAAAA

for each of the weeks chosen?

I think I understand why you choose the games that are in similar positions in the league as they are likely to have similar odds but i can get my head around the perm

    Thanks
