The two matches im looking forward to the most in the first round will be to see how J Higgins defends his crown vs Matt Stevens and also Ding Junhui vs Marco Fu looks a tough one to call, i obviously want Ding to come out on top but it should be an interesting match.

Started seeing 1/5 odds on 16+ handicaps at Doncaster St Leger last year and it seems to have spread since then. Not seen 1/6 odds yet!
It really annoys me. Many people have no idea how this works and are being ripped off.
taunton races have had 1/6 odds for most of the jump season if i remember rightly.

Yeah i agree with you Neil, they could do it every season with the Gold cup and Grand National winners a sort of football style charity shield.

where do you start on this one, as a red fan i would of liked the second leg at anfield like the past two times liverpool have meet chelsea in this competition, so i think Benitez will have to go for a win in the first leg whilst trying not to concede an away goal which will be tough if chelsea are at full strenght. so on that note advantage chelsea.
chelsea are very much still in the hunt for the title and will have one eye on that competition so even though they have a big squad cant afford to rest their best players whilst i am sure liverpool will rest their key players before both legs of the semi final so will be fresher. will cech be back? if not he will be a big loss to the blues. advantage liverpool.

Ahh isn`t that sweet – gotta love it when dippers are getting as bitter and twisted as City fans. But i cant blame them, this year`s title makes it 17 – one fewer than Liverpool. It`s only a matter of time before we take the lead.

Petski good luck with your horses for the coming season,what is it like being part of a syndicate/race club?
I wouldnt rule out becoming a member of your race club but at the moment im looking for something a bit closer to home and would be more for the jumps to be honest.
