As a 50 year old brought up on fractions I must admit that after using Betfair and others I have got used to decimals and actually opt for them. It just makes it simpler for me, so I agree that this call is right though some of the others are just flim flam

Any summary please? I don’t subscribe to RUK but would have liked to see this. It’s something I need to learn.
I applaud your work in undermining the likes of Koo and Thompson if they profit from punters for variable tips. However, Hugh does not charge, nor does the site, and he points people in the right direction. Surely that in turn deserves some applause. And as previously said, he explains his reasoning which, hopefully, encourages better thinking about the game.
Nothing too professional on my part. I was reading some work of Nick Mordin from a few years ago and playing at using topseed (on suitable going) in comparison to handicap marks. I used it to highlight a few winners in July especially nurseries. But now there seem to be many many more qualifiers and bigger ratings all round. I just wondered if I’d missed something while I was away. Maybe it works best in mid summer when the going is usually more reliable as well.
Thanks and good luckMr. Forecast. Like you I was playing around with a system using RP speed figures. It was going well until I went away in the summer for a month. Since then it seems to me that there are many more qualifiers and that the figures seem inflated compared to pre-August. Has there been a change in the figures or is my thinking in need of a revision?
