If fallon had of been on night of thunder today he would have won, great ride he gave toormore who ran a fine race. can’t understand how he is not being used by more trainers to ride in the big races, especiallly when you see some of the pretenders that they are putting up on their horses

He was due to ride at ayr on gold cup day but never showed up, I didn’t hear why, but one of the rides was for godolphin in a listed race and graham lee subsequently picked up the spare and won on it!i don’t know what happened there

what did people think of joseph o briens ride on gleneagles?i know it was harsh to take the race off him, but im sure moore would have won on him. surely the coolmore ”lads” must be getting a bit fed up of mistakes in several big races

He’s not getting any rides for bin suroor now hardly, overlooked tomorrow at brighton in preference to dane o neill!it’s such a shame to see how his star has fallen, he can’t buy a decent ride now it seems.any horse he gets the leg up on now is usually a 25/1 no hoper.i wonder what he will do from here, surely he must be losing patience and getting frustrated with the whole thing.
i for one would still have total confidence in putting him on a horse in a big race, when you see some of the jockeys that are getting rides ahead of him, its a joke.

You have to admire fallon’s resilience, many others would have just thrown in the towel when things weren’t looking so good.
There is no better jockey for the big occasion and if his problems over the last 10 years hadn’t deprived him of alot of race riding when he was at the peak of his powers,he would certainly be mentioned in the frame for the greatest of all time in my opinion.

unfortunately his career seeems to be over.i am a massive fallon fan and have always admired his talents,i think he was as good as anyone in his prime, but hes not getting the rides anymore either and he wont get the quality ones again, hes living off scraps now and there seem to be more, less competent jockeys being offered rides ahead of him.i feel sorry for hm,just when things looked to be coming right for him when he got that ride for o brien on recital in the derby, that prick took out an injunction to stop him riding and ballydoyle have never gonre back to him since.if he had of gotten riding for them again who knows he might have got some more big race wins on the back of it,but hes had no luck whatsoever since he came back from the ban.as good as anyone in a high pressure big race,no nosense just gets the job done

terrible ride from o’brien,i dont know what he was thinkin.hes a good young jockey but hes not good enough or experienced enough to be in the position hes in.its not fair on him either to put him in that position i think as hes left wide open for instances like this and the obvious criticism that will come with it.

i have to agree with you there andy.you need a good jock for this type of race.even the great sea the stars needed all kinanes experience and patience having looked in trouble for a while in the race.fallon is brilliant around longchamp, the ride he gave hurricane run was fantastic.he is also brilliant around epsom and every other big race if you ask me.he has nerves of steel,is a man for the big day and id want him on board if i had him backed, but id say they wont put him up somehow and heffernan will keep the ride…

i wouldnt rule out fallon yet is right.he is riding 2 meetings nearly every day at the moment and you would think he would pick up a few rides from stoute now that moore is out.think he still rides work for him doesnt he?he did last year anyway…..

fallon nearly always got the choice of horse right when he was there in fairness to him eg. dylan thomas in the arc who started at 11/2 and soldier of fortune was 10/3.also his choice to stay at home and ride oratorio in a hot irish champion stakes when it would have been easier to ride hot favourite scorpion in the leger just shows how well he knew the horses and what they were capable of.

i wonder will they ever give fallon another chance?he is down to ride at york on saturday, but im sure if he was asked on time he would have jumped at the chance to ride SNA.i cant understand how he cant pick up hardly any group one rides now.it is an insult to the man and his talent to see some of the donkeys he has to ride nowadays.id say it must be hard for him to motivate himself with the current situation.there is noboby better on the big day
