Not an expert on bumper form but did like the win today of Third Act and had a little bit of the 40s still available with VC NRFB

My anti-post book looks great, but to be honest I say that every year only to look back after the festival with many regrets and disappointments!!!!

To date I have the following

£50 win Kings Palace for the AB at 16s VC Bet
£50 win Faugheen for the Neptune at 14s VC Bet
£50 Win Cue Card for the Gold Cup at 25s VC Bet
and Cue card to win Betfair and GC at 66s with Hills
£50 win Ballycasey for the RSA at 25s with VC Bet
£50 win Al ferof for the Ryanair at 10s with VC
(VC have done well with me this year!!! most are NRFB)
£100win Rock on Ruby to win Arkle at 16s with Corals
£100ew First Leutenant in Gold Cup at 12s with 365 NRNB

My biggest bet of this years festival is in the Arkle and I have gone big on Rock On Ruby. Took plenty of the 16s that was available. Haven’t really been impressed with many of the market leaders at this time. The Arkle has been kind to me over the years so fingers crossed…….

With the recent news that Captain Chris will miss the race it actually now looks highly likely Menorah will run.I have had my fingers crossed since my earlier post and they will remain crossed until the 26th!!!!!!

The one I like for this, although still not confirmed due to Captain Chris being in the race, is Menorah. Backed at 50s with Stan James and again at 33s.The horse is very well suited to Kempton and recent comments made by Hobbs gives me a little more encouragement that they may let Menorah take its chance. Fingers crossed.

I like the look of Edeymi in the Coral cup.Does have a couple of engagements but I do think this will be the target. 25s with BETFRED and Totesport is massive imo, and still available

Sorry I missed the point Wilson and I will take more care next time, but I hope some members did get on Saphir at 20s for the Fred Winter, appreciate there is a long way to go but getting a bit of value from our bookie friends is part of the fun

Interested to know who you got the 20s with as according to Oddschecker history that price was long gone.

Has Nicholls tipped the horse up – noticed several of his have been punted for the handicaps recently. Comments earlier in the season might have led you to believe Saphir wouldn’t be going to Cheltenham.

    Hi Stilvi

I took the 20s with VC bet 27/01/13 at 21.39 on a NRFB basis. The reason for the bet was as indicated on a previous post as I find Trainers are "creatures of Habit" and if they have a tried and tested route they tend to stay with it, and it worked with Sanctuare.Yes its a gamble but the bet was a NRFB.You are right with regards the price has now long gone.Only trying to point people in the right direction, nothing more.
