Number 35 now. Looking a bit more hopeful with 3(?) entries looking to see if they make the National cut. If they get in, then we may be in business… please!

Was there ever any real doubt that it wouldn’t get in????

Just needs to win or place now!!!!

    Good luck

The National has not been good to me over the last few years, even to the extent of backing Mon Mone at 150s on betfair but failed to "double click" the place bet and the damn bet was not placed!!!!

Anyway my full portfolio for this years attempt is as follows (Keep away from these as you will be fine)

    Burton Port 40/1
    long Run 33/1
    Quito De La Roque 66/1
    Wayward Price 66/1
    TeaforThree 25/1

Getting the right price tends to be the easy bit but getting them to cross the line and collect is the part I am struggling with!!!!

Predict the 1st 4, that’s not a challenge. I will send you my address for those Starmix’s!!!!!

    1st-Burton Port
    2nd-Teaforthree
    3rd-Colbert Station
    4th-Quito de la roque

Shhhh, we are not mentioning Wayward prince, as I don’t want to jinx it

Is everything ok with Burton Port? Has anyone heard anything?

It’s my new cunning plan. I can’t make money by backing horses these days so I have to make money by NOT backing them. Any more that anyone wants me to not back :D

That sounds like a really good idea. My trick is backing a horse that loses only for it to win next time out when I’m not on

Sounds like a good business plan coming together!!!!

Stick me down for a fiver as well Jenno, thanks a lot :D

If you don’t ask, you don’t get!

Come on chaps, be fair. I’m married with an ex wife and 4 kids (And a dog, 2 chickens and 1 fish)who all want a piece of my winnings in their own way. Leave me with a bit of profit!!!

I was wondering what You’d backed, Jeno as you seem to have an eye for a winner! I’ve backed Quito; annoyingly haven’t, thus far backed T43 [why oh why oh why??] and Wayward Prince is my bogey horse. The bad news is that he only runs well when I don’t back him [which I haven’t yet, so I’m in a dilemma about it]. I need someone to slip me a fiver to ignore him

If you don’t back Wayward Prince and it wins I will go on record to say I will happily give you £5, and I free £10 charity bet of your choice to whatever charity you choose.

I was one of many who came away from this years festival believing Champagne Fever was the winner of the 2015 Gold Cup.

I was hoping that VC Bet would go NRFB as they did last year but sadly it didn’t happen so I risked £25 win at 20s.I did go back in to have another bet but as you pointed out, the 20s didn’t last that long!!!!

I’m embarrassed to admit that I have a fiver ew at 40s with VC (Even missed the 50s!!!).I only did it as a pal of mine said they did something similar with Well Chief before that won at Cheltenham. I later found out that my mate didn’t actually back it!!!!

That’s the first 3 winners I’ve had and I think its safe to say I have never done that before!!!!!

If I could guarantee 1 winner I pray it would be Faugheen. Backed it months ago at much bigger odds than the 3s currently available, but not wanting to jinx it now I will have 2pts win Red Sherlock at 11/2 with Stan James and Hills

My anti-post book looks great, but to be honest I say that every year only to look back after the festival with many regrets and disappointments!!!!

To date I have the following

£50 win Kings Palace for the AB at 16s VC Bet
£50 win Faugheen for the Neptune at 14s VC Bet
£50 Win Cue Card for the Gold Cup at 25s VC Bet
and Cue card to win Betfair and GC at 66s with Hills
£50 win Ballycasey for the RSA at 25s with VC Bet
£50 win Al ferof for the Ryanair at 10s with VC
(VC have done well with me this year!!! most are NRFB)
£100win Rock on Ruby to win Arkle at 16s with Corals
£100ew First Leutenant in Gold Cup at 12s with 365 NRNB

Also backed a few that don’t look so good now (Morning Assembly, Rule The World, Apache Stronghold etc)

Had my first Handicap bet of 2014 for Cheltenham. Nov Hdcp chase on the first day.
ManyRiverstocross 20s with VC NRFB (Now 14s,but 20s is available elsewhere, just not NRFB)
