It’s the best all weather course we have. Who wants another jumps course. It’s a dying sport of the future anyway.

I get it with ladbrokes. I suppose if this is a regular pattern, it’s because you have placed bets in the past that have caused alarm.

if you are prepared to shell out £70 a month try raceform interactive! Nothing gets close in the UK.

Fractional are aa much apart of handicapping as the finish time. We shouldn’t even have to keep asking for this service. They should be on every course in the country.Standard. We did have them. Why the new owner at turf trax decided to stop this needs answering. I am considering dropping UK racing and just converting to American as they have a much greater respect for the handicapper than over here.

The Yanks have had fractionals for 20 years on every course.

What is putting fractionals on 17 races this year going to change??

Thats like giving some one 1% of a sum then being expected to know the answer.

Racing culture needs to change dramatically in this country.

Yes, yes, can’t agree more. The best "episode" shall we say was with with "buxton". We have a massive wide screen and the volume up full for most races, but as you can imagine my friends, we were not ready for what took place. I now take the precaution of having the mute button ready at hand when watching ATR, I suggest you do the same too.

I’ve been using a mixture of timeform rating and frontrunner tipping service, i’ve had three wins and a place at 14/1 on the trot. I tried tommo tips too, with little results.

wooden kings form seems to have declined where as there are a number of improver’s in this race such as alfresco, maze, and bert oliver have the potential to challenge today. Based on this alone i’m prepared to take wooden king on.

I would be tempted to back alfresco, however at what seems a very competitive race i can not see any thing to get my teeth stuck into.
Therefore my conclusion is the logical lay on the far too short wooden king.

providing racing is flourishing in the future, I believe we need fractional timing.

Our cousins have had FT and had it for a while, why the UK is denied the technology that it deserves is beyond me. How much would it really cost to clock at the 2 pole, 6 pole ect.,

and have it published every day???????

Even if we just had it for the all weather. we had it for a short period, why have the new owners of turf trax have not continued. We all keep chating on and on about racing for change, well here is a real, plausible, change we can make to racing. Furthermore it’s changes that happen little and often which make a difference, not massive ones when its gone too far. And becoming some what of a dinosaur to the rest of the world.

Help bring racing up to date with the reintroduction of fractional timing.

dont get me wrong i love the racing post but their standard times are just too standard. If you want to getinto standard times you need to make a whole set of figs on your own only to realise what little use figs are on the turf and uk in general. However whilst building my figures i understood how figs are achieved. And that was more important that having a set of perfect figs/times to hand. sorry.

I love your ratings in general, there are a couple of i disagree with however 95% makes interesting reading. I am right in saying you do not employ trip handicapping methods? Of late i have been spending 50% of my time triping (trip handicapping) used in convention with a number of other things.
I have also noticed a slight change at southwell lately? Have you noticed it too, i would say what it is but I want to be sure that it isnt me over analysing things, as can happen when one looks at something too long and hard.

Very difficult to come to a solid conclusion until the official race card has been drawn up.

A big or small field will effect the out come in a big way. I would be surprised if something can come from a long way back in a big field. Already going on the entries i predict that the final three will be positioned in the top quarter of the field 7 furlongs out. However if the field runs 11 or smaller an new prediction would logically have to be devised.

    This is no easy race.
