Rupert may well be gone & we’ll soon find out, i suspect!
He’s had a couple of near death experiences & if it doesn’t work out, i hope Webber retires him, for a hopefully long & happy retirement. Until then, i’m prepared to keep the faith one more time.
What has Mullins said about Abbysial? Other than Analifet his other juvenile winners have looked more potential chasers than Triumph Hurdle winners. This one also looks as if he would appreciate a softer surface. Given it is mid-January and it is 14/1 the field you would think his ‘team’ would be considerably shorter if they were intended runners/seriously fancied?

Yes, that’s correct.He quoted that Abbysial was very much a chaser in the making but he felt he would pay his way over hurdles on soft/heavy ground in the short term & may be stepped up in trip.
I think Ivan Grozny was the stables main hope for the Triumph & may still be?, although i saw nothing to suggest he would turn the tables on Plinth. Should they lock horns again!
