Fantastic. Not felt as emotional since Dessie. A 5th KG is still on the cards

A good horse but would he have beat Kauto and Denman if they were at their best? I dont think he would. Still he is only 6 so might be some improvement to come. If so then he could go down as a great

Long Run surprised me and congrats to him. Denman and Kauto did us proud. Hope they can now enjoy a happy retirement. Two of the greats no doubt about that

I love Kauto but think his best days are behind him. Very, very surprised if he wins the GC but he owes nothing to anybody and will be remembered as one of the all time greats

No doubt she is a great horse but did Paco Boy have too much to do? Cant see how you can give her that much ground

As a Bristol Rovers fan, I am chuffed for Ollie, You will not meet a more passionate man in football. 1 miracle achieved and another required to keep them in the PL

I didnt say they hate to race. I said they dont choose to race. If a horse loses a jockey they often carry on running but dont jump anymore fences. Yes they may be occasions when they carry on jumping but that is more to do with following the pack than anything else.

Horses are generally submissive and will do what the dominant figure on their back tells them to do!

I dont think driving deaths is a fair comparison. We choose to drive. Horses dont choose to race.

I love horses and NH racing but I couldnt help but find this afternoons events particularly sickening.

Totally appreciate that without NH these horses wouldnt exist but surely further measures can be taken to protect the horse and also the jockey???

Does anyone have any stats on injuries, fatalities on different types of ground? Faster ground must play a part

Jumps it has to be Dessie. Not seen another horse with his charisma, guts and toughness. He knew he was good!

On the flat its Lochsong. Over 5f she was fantastic to watch and a case of catch me if you can!

I personally hope he doesnt run. He is not the horse he was and I would fear for his safety. Top weight at 11 years of age is a monumental task

Have to say I feel pretty deflated now. Kauto and Denman will be 11 next year so think we may have seen the best of them and an the era may be over. I hope not but at least I have been lucky enough to see both of them

Thats a good horse. Won very well. Not taking anything away from IC but Denman didnt seem to get into a jumping rhythm like when he won. Agree that IC would have beat Kauto if he had not fallen
