Newbury 3.30 So Beloved
Wolverhampton 6.20 Hustle BustleThe way Nigel Twiston-Davies spoke about The New One’s defeat sounded like he was very determined to avenge it in the Champion Hurdle next year. I would be shocked if this wasn’t the plan as IMO he would have won (maybe talking through my pocket!) if he was not hampered by the ill-fated Our Conor. Absolutely stormed up the hill and has a fantastic blend of speed and stamina. Wouldn’t be rushing to take 6/1 at this stage without a NRNB concession, who knows how good Un De Sceaux will be this time next year?
Champagne Fever would be my lay of the festival
Triumph – Broughton 1pt e/w at 14/1 Ladbrokes
Faugheen 2pts win @3’s Paddy Power. To hopefully make up for Pont Alexandre getting beat last year!
Hidden Cyclone 1pt e/w @ 25/1 Stan James
Supreme – First Mohican 1pt e/w @ 20/1 Paddy Power
I like Dell’ Arca and Totalize, and I can see Far West running a big race if he’s back in form after his bad scope last time out.
Liked that first run from First Mohican, just took 20/1 for the Supreme. Goes to Kempton on the 22nd and is sure to improve more. Looks a big enough price to me!
1pt e/w Don Cossack 14/1 with Paddy Power
World Hurdle – Celestial Halo 16/1 Ladbrokes 1pt e/w
Arkle – Felix Yonger 1pt e/w 16/1 Ladbrokes
Still clinging on to the hope that Mullins sends him to this race. Different horse on good ground. He ran a blinder for you Denman, very unlucky there, good shout.
Thanks, I thought he ran superbly, unfortunately the 15 runners was a killer, looked good turning in just tired badly on the run in. Never been a fan of Unioniste, even less so now after snatching 3rd!
As mentioned, The Game Changer 16/1 is extremely appealing at the price, each way 5 places with Paddy. I can’t see past Quick Jack for the win though.
Solix at a big price is interesting for a small each way bet. Similar price when 6th and 5th in last 2 handicaps on top weight. Near the bottom of the weights here, obviously needs to improve on his runs this season but could run into a place.
Arkle – Felix Yonger e/w 10/1
Champion Hurdle – Annie Power e/w 11/1
Champion Hurdle – Un De Sceaux e/w 14/1 NRNB
Faugheen to win any race 9/2
Champion Bumper – Black Hercules e/w 12/1
Gold Cup – Al Ferof e/w 12/1 NRNBAcca – Sprinter Sacre, Bobs Worth, Big Bucks, Quevega, Faugheen, Black Hercules
Happy enough with most of these so far.
