Reminds me of Dingle Races.
LOUD dramatic music *********BREAKING*********
DICK OUT.
With regard to Derek Thompson’s commentaries. His commentaries are the same for every race the only things that change are the mames of the horses. You can play “cliche bingo” every time.

Tough news, Purwell.
I hope the delay isn’t too long.
I recently tested positive while in hospital trying to stabilise my blood coagulation properties. Negative tests on Day 0 and Day 2 positive on day 5. Home now with chest infection and a course of antibiotics.
As I said before NHS not perfect but well worth having.
Note to myself, if I live long enough perhaps I can have one of ’em ivory towers.
The NHS is not without flaws, what huge organisation isn’t, after all it is peopled by human beings who we all know are not perfect.
Since 2009 I have had an small bowel resection, a stoma reversal, gall bladder removed and heart surgery to replace a valve and in 2017 diagnosed with chronic leukaemia. As you may guess I am very greatful for the NHS with all it’s flaws.
There are good nurses, there are bad nurses, there are good doctors, there are bad doctors, That’s life or death after all.
Aneurin Bevan’s ideas and aspirations are still celebrated in this part of the world.
Not a big fan of the yard but seeing this result yesterday made me smile (quite an achievement these days).

Sunak is quickly improving his position in my table of people I dislike intensely.
Thanks for the update, gamble. The description ‘one-off” comes to mind.
Don’t ever stop posting, boyo. Though I’m not sure we deserve you.
Steve Cauthen was very good. Seemed to have a nice personality with it, which isn’t always the case.
You may well be right, Kev but I hope not. I don’t need any more depression.
Where have all the good people gone?
That’s something I say to myself very often, gamble.
How is “flat-cap” by the way?
Drone, granted that I didn’t work for long in a racing yard, I felt very much the way you suggest. I used to enjoy the trips to the racecourse, not quite like having a day off but a definite change of routine. Not sure whether the staff doing evening meetings at a course far from home feel the same way though.
