Thought Etched ran ok under circumstances and it will be interesting to see how he and Roayal Vintage go next time
FWIW calcs say another decent performance by Honour Devil
Mmmm, Etched
It’s a sit and watch race imo, but Etched could take some beating if in the same frame of mind as in Nashua Stakes at Aqueduct
De Kock’s other runner Royal Vintage seems to be attracting a bit of support
Fascinating contest coming up at 6.00pm imo
retire Barry and join Barmy Army
SR does another article on Sectional timings for BF news. Surely these articles should be in the trade paper instead of his iffy tips

Blythe non runner because of ground, Amaretto Rose probably in need of this and McCoy not on Straw Bears back makes me think your 11-8 quote is a tad large
Thinking the above and FWIW – Katchit is probably an evens poke , maybe a tad odds on
Amaretto Rose is interesting DJ, i’m inclined to think this may be a prep for something later
Be interesting to see how market goes with her, but it’s still a big ask against race fit horses
I find it rather amazing that Denman is still available at 2-1 in the Gold Cup.
Me too, i also find it amazing that Exotic Dancer is still available at 12-1
I think this is a case of working out if Afsoun is as good as Katchit
Former is better than latter imo
however, at the weights, Katchit should finish ahead of Straw Bear by my reckoning, but Katchit is not a good thing, again imo7 then 5 lengths extra to take into account for trying to take the last fence with him and nearly killing Santa Claus!
Fudging figures innit
Couldn’t get site to load earlier, but for those interested
but Denman hasn’t even faced a horse as good as Exotic Dancer yet either
You are correct and that was the same scenario KS faced in KG and GC, where ED the Paddy Power, Boylesport winner was thought Kauto’s Star inferior by a decent margin
It took ED’s performance in the GC for him to be recognized as the decent horse he is now and ED’s Betfair Chase performance shows him to still be on the upward curve imo. Just like Denmans Hennesey, Lexus and Aon performances show him to be on the upward curve
Kauto imo could be be beaten by one or both of these progressing horses, he could put them both in their place
Fascinating race coming up at Chelters imo
Denman is in a similar scenario to what Kauto Star was last year, KS passed that particular test and there is nothing to say Denman won’t do the same
James a Q if i may
Your well taken by Denman, so why is your firm not best price Kauto???
…because the race is going to cut up badly and if Denman doesn’t win (unlikely I know) then Kauto Star will. The two combined should be taking out more of the book than they currently are imo.
On the day when the final field is known it may well be different and that will be the time to lay Kauto Star.
Thanks for the explanation James

Not exactly a business title that would inspire me with confidence.
