I hope the RP take his column off him. Makes for a very, very, very boring read.
Erm. the trainer in question hasn’t been found guilty of anything yet has he?
Can’t see the problem myself.
Employee fails to turn up to work and doesn’t get in touch.
Employer says I’m not putting up with that but I like the lad and if he sorts himself out he can come back anytime.
Agent says I’m a bit miffed too.
Media contacts emplyer and agent.
Employer and agent answer question.
INETROBIL
POWER
LILBOURNE LAD
and, based on his debut run, and desite Taggart buying a share of him, I haven’t yet given up on Magic City.
Well Timeform have concluded that the jockey gave the Derby winner a less than great ride, stating that they consider Pour Moi 5lb better than the result in the Derby because of "the way the jockey made him run".
Disagree. Epsom’s quirkiness makes it the great race it is and demands that only the best horses win.
The last place I’d move it to is York where so often the form book flies out of the window.
Lovely colt isn’t he. Can’t wait for the big clash.
All the best
for him.
It was a fine ride yesterday but not a great one. And I’ll need far more evidence before I believe he is "the real deal". Words like "great" are banded about far too casually and frequently these days.
What I did agree with were her shocked comments about the rider of the winner. I don’t think I have ever seen a worse display by a jockey 19 is no excuse; the way he held himself up by the unfortunate horse’s mouth to wave around was despicable. Such an action would have caused Pour Moi pain & may have injured his mouth to make it hard & insensitive in the future. People that complain about whipping (less harmful to the horse) will probably have missed this as they have never ridden themselves. If a kid even did this in a Pony Club show they would be severely reprimanded.
Totally agree. As I’ve said elsewhere on here, I hated the celebration and despite some childish responses it has nothing to do with lost bets because I didn’t even have a bet on the derby. I didn’t think it was as great a ride as some suggest but its all about opinions and certainly it was a beautifully timed ride and the horse is absolutely outstanding. But the celebration was obnoxious in my view and I stand by that. The race though was terriic and will last long in the memory.
I love the Derby and I thought it was a thrilling race today but I’m relieved it is all over, if only so that people can now finally shut up about the owner of Carlton House. The press and media act like the whole country are staunch royalists and the fawning and absurd sycophancy has got right up my nose I’m afraid. Mrs Windsor didn’t even breed the bloody horse.
Sorry to sound like a misery guts but I hated the celebration and would have just loved it had Treasure Beach snatched victory.
How can he be a scapegoat when it is his own actions (and his alone) that have caused this. If he was unsure who he wanted to ride he should have been candid enough to have said so and not signed a contract.
It isn’t exactly rocket science is it.
I’m firmly in the ANYBODY BUT LYDIA camp.
But surely it is Keiren Fallon that is at fault here for signing a contract and then reneging?
Also can’t see why its a low for racing.
Fallon NOT now free to ride in Derby.
This guy is an expert at attracting trouble. Unbelievable.
