Thanks for the reply. Will watch this thread with interest, and what do you mean it’s getting late, all night session watching the cricket.
Genius Which it seems u are. One question, i have a dabble, and even opened up a betfair account as they seemed to offer better odds on certain races, my question is this tho, laying horses, if the horse wins can i only lose a certain amount, or can i be hit for a bundle
Nice piece of work, but I am another dimwit, can only get to2002, (sorry I have open office, don’t like MS stuff)tried the viewer just get error occurred. Doing something wrong just don’t know what.
I see your list horses are now coming out thick and fast. Yesterday I got nagged to say Vloer La Vadette was running. I was in a hurry to go out, saw the forecast was odds on, so left alone. Couldn’t believe when I got home it returned 6/4. Oh well.Thats life….
Not going to be near computer over the weekend, going away.
I think this system has merits, but only in low prize money racing(AW). to get a rating over 10 which did seem the cut off. Maybe for over the winter. I think it may take some long term analysis, which I believe terry was doing.
I think we should leave it to him, and let him determine the merits. Although saying that the source he was taking this from won’t be around much more anyway, I believe?
here we go
Wolves 6.10 Barista 12.38
Worc 3.45 Sea Cliff 10.74
Wolves 8.10 Talenti 10.14 W 11/4
Exeter 5.20 Haverstone 10.14
Firstly, sorry for your loss.
I don’t want to tread on any toes, or if I am being disrespectful but I have followed your system. Of course with your personal life the way it is I can understand why you have other more important things on your mind
If you don’t mind, and I would welcome any feedback if you don’t want me to post I will try to carry on where discretedata left off until he returns.
I can’t say my spreadsheet acumen is as good as his, but bear with me. If anyone else is following this thread and they make their calculations different from me please feel free to put it right.
Wed 6th
Kempton
1900 Rowan Light 13.55 L
1930 carlton Scroop 15.16 W 9/4
2030 Nolecce/Dancing Welcome 11.47 LNottingham
1440 Magic Cross 10.96 LBy coincidence I worked them out but rab123 had beaten me to it. Interestingly enough, as had been commented before horses rated over 10 seem to do better,( don’t know if your stats back this up) so my calculations I had 5. Lutine Charlie at the 3.00 bath. Luckily it came in, bailed me for the day, as the rest got washed out so will never know!!!
Sorry to be a newbie numptie, but when does the NH proper season starts. I don’t like AW flat racing so during the winter I might try NH, will follow with interest.
Welcome back. As you were not going to be around I tried myself, hoping that someone else would put up the selections, in case I got it wrong. Which as i can see I did. I agree with the figures you have for child bride, 9.57 and peace corps, 9.06, but I seem to have oversighted ballerina, that’s down to my rubbish spreadsheet powers but had frequency at 8.90, but I cant understand why I missed sharp soveriegn. I have figures of HRB 200 * 100/ 3238= 6.18. Where did I go so wrong. So I ended up with nisaal at 8.78. Unfortunately mine all lost.
I’m new here but I found your system interesting. Surely the stats of over 700 views says that people were indeed taking an interest.
Thanks for replies received already. Another piece of info I need. When is a favourite, a favourite. Sounds confusing I know!I have been away a couple of days, but before I left, to test my ongoing theory, I placed a bet 16/9 my figures 9races/5wins Pontefract 1500 Valerius Maximus@11/10. 2nd fav was Old Mater Expert7/4. I now see the results and Old Master ended up Evens and winning and the other horse 7/4. So one was favourite and then not. How long should I leave it before the off to make claims to the fav, but I like to get in early and get a good price!
By the way I was just chucking ideas about, see if anyone else had noticed the trend, obviously you had with all your data. My next step was to look at 2nd fav etc. size of field etc.
