    I would disagree with opinion that whipping an inexperienced horse will have a negative effect.

    Obviously it will not appreciate a damn good beating but a few cracks to let it know its supposed to try and win are only going to improve its attitude in future races.

    Its all about opinions obviously but thats what i reckon.
