Sadly this mare lost her life at the 4th during the Velka – horribly landed in ditch on the landing side … Taxis fence … can’t find a mention in Racing Post and not acknowledged by name as far as I can see on Racing UK coverage .. Poor girl … RIP
Yes, thanks for mentioning it TenPlus. The most horrific fall you will ever see. Imagine a horse falling in a vertical fall from the 1st floor of a building and landing on its head. It lay there motionless like a piece of sh1t. Of course the race was hailed a great one and Jan Faltisek beat the crap out of the winner. Giving it no time to respond.
The race report on the Czech Jockey Club website noted the following punishment for jockey:
Penalties: Ps. Mouse J. 500 CZK,. Faltejsek J. CZK 200 and Ps. Sovka J. 1000 CZK for excessive use of whip (DR § 316)

Charlie Mann said that he had no plans to go back again after this year; not because of the race itself. He didn’t elaborate but also said Enda Bolger had said the same. Not sure what the problem is. There was a false start yesterday I believe.
