Entered up in the 3-05 at Ascot today I see…..I thought this old dog had been retired. Evens he finishes first or last I reckon….one to stay clear of! Having said that he’ll probably bolt up!
April 27, 2011 at 21:22 #352442….and he ran a stinker as I thought…time for retirement I think.
April 28, 2011 at 08:34 #352490Seems to me that he dislikes fast ground, but the stable keep racing him on just such a surface.
His two ‘wins’ as a 3-y-old (one a subsequent drug test disq) came in races run with give in the ground. But he’s never run on anything other than good to firm or firm since.
I also can’t see why they persist in racing him at 1M – his only try at 10F was in the Eclipse and totally inconclusive, but he’s always looked to me as if he’d stay.
There’s a 10F Listed race at Goodwood, where he won, on May 21st – aim at that and pray for rain …….

April 29, 2011 at 11:44 #352685I watched him at Ascot during the week where he didn’t show too much.
The RP analysis suggests he be gelded , moved on or both.
I’m sure Zacinto would prefer AP’s analysis.
April 29, 2011 at 12:26 #352693I fully expected that, in the event of Zacinto staying in training as a 5 year old, he’d have been gelded before the beginning of this campaign.
Seems odd to just wish and hope and then belatedly contemplate what was inevitable all along.
