    George Washington’s horrible and untimely demise in the Monmouth mud. :(

    He was a horse that sparked my interest properly in racing, thought it was incredible how a horse can cruise and then go, Guineas win was the most impressive in a long time, as was the QE2, just unfortunate how the demise came.

    Monetary – Having £4k on Dunguib @5/2 for the Supreme :(

    Emotionally – Giants Causeway getting pipped in the 2000 Breeders Cup Classic after kinane dropped the whip!

    so many of them, from premature death (Killiney, Golden Cygnet, and worst of all Dawn Run), to not living up to tall reputations (BJK, MYD Solzen).
    But the pleasant surprises, thoogh infrequent, keep me in the game

    Shamardal’s career cut short through injury. He was one of the most outstanding horses I’ve seen in the short time he was racing.
