VAUBAN ran flat on his most recent start in the Melbourne cup but looked an exciting horse for a flat campaign beforehand. That race and the tactics didn’t suit, maybe he doesn’t want 2 miles. Back down in trip I fancy he can get the better of the progressive TOWER OF LONDON, who does need to prove that the trip is ok at this level.

The price difference is too much, 4/1 vs 6/4, I’ll have the 4s on Willies boy.

No Hamish, no surprise but it does mean my 4/1 is hit with a 15p rule 4. I shan’t bother topping up. Or will I?…….

I wanted to take them both on now so went with Al Qareem. Will look to dictate things from the front and has recent run behind him. I love Tower of London however he has run abroad so the travelling plus bigger targets in season make him short enough for today.

I wander what Aidans excuse will be this time.

Augoste Rodin – Ryan couldn’t get him activated. (That’s the best one I ever heard lol)

City Of Troy – Too kind to him and his 2 seconds in the stalls raised his heart rate.

Henry Longfellow – Spring weather was poor
