Matt[/quoteyeah welcome Matt
Enjoy your first time you virgin !!You might be crying after wards LOL
This game tames lions believe me!!
May 13, 2009 at 02:02 #227241I’m having a ten-bob yankee on these out of admiration for such an exuberant first post!
May 13, 2009 at 02:12 #227242Matt with regards to your selections..
Stone of scone who beat Red jade by a neck in a grade 3 is 2lb worse off but i fear the lightly raced
Rose street
may well do em both. The performance against Presvis (grade 2) was a very good one albeit was beaten 7 lengths. M.Jarvis is sure to have Rose Street fit and ready for this and is good value too at 13/2
Enticement is an emproving sort and at 15/8 is a fair bet
Photographic I think should do the business too at 3/1
But most of all I like the look of Sir Gerry and should be too good for these at 13/2
On the day I make my Nap Rose Street with NB Sir Gerry
Good luck young un an make sure you dont skip school to watch York races on the telly now. as if
May 13, 2009 at 02:22 #227243Wednesday afternoon.
A good chance that the 4th Form and 5th Form have Games.
I do believe for some reason that these are now referred to as Years 10 and 11.
When Ah were a lad, Ah remember Yorkshireman always running at York, with of course a tip of the hat and a "Good Afternoon" from John Rickman.
Boldboy would have been running in the Duke Of York, I think.

Come on now Gerald are you sure that Boldboy wasnt a twinkle in his grandsires eye LOL !! I remember the old boy Rickman a proper gentleman. I was wondering about young Matt and how we in this forum are responsible in some way to give the lad some proper and well constructed advise. Now i know these lads these days dont like anyone lecturing them but I would advise him to be very very careful as to where this could lead. Gambling is as you know extremely addictive especially horse racing. I would suggest to him that he sets up a point system and has a maximum out lay for the day. Then he can see how easy or hard the game is over a long period. There are very very few that can honestly say that they make money on a regular basis from gambling. A need for excitement turns quickly to greed and its a bitch to get rid of. I know people who regularly lose their entire wages on a weekends racing. So Hey Matt if your listening in , my best tip for tomorrow is BeT with POINTS never with cash !!!
May 13, 2009 at 08:46 #227266Yes, I admit I used to blow my wages when I got my first job.
Have I been somewhat anachronous about Boldboy, or is it just a jest about my age? Anyway, the horse I’m thinking of is a sprinter of Lady Beaverbrook’s, from the 1970s.
May 13, 2009 at 11:10 #227280Thanks all for the warm welcoming!
I take on all of your points, before i jet of to my last day of school (by the way) i have recorded the channel 4 racing and will not be sciving. just to let you know that i have been i racing for years, so i know whats what. i do realise that its not a quick profit and not certain to make money everyday.for your commments on my selections i do agree that red jade is now better off with stone of scone but i was impessed with him last time out and thought he was progressive as he did have a long lay-off (11months i think).
tax free also came out from a 291 day break, although he may be a 5f horse was impressive when beating todays favourite equiano.
once again thanks for all the kind and honest comments.
Matt
May 13, 2009 at 11:56 #227285There appears to be a brain in your head there Matt. You are able to justify your selections and you make sense. I dont agree with your selections but that is not the point. Welcome and good luck!

MattMatt, i like your style, Why do you think Tax Free will win?
May 13, 2009 at 12:48 #227295And to think, Antepostking, you suggested Cal. had my trousers off. Well, I never thought you’d fall for a wind-up. This is clearly Matt Chapman, Chappers of ATR. Clearly, you’re not a style guru.
KMay 13, 2009 at 12:58 #227300Matt,
In view of your age it would be irresponsible for anyone on here to indulge in positive discussion of your betting habits, and illegal for any bookie to be knowingly accepting bets from you. By all means feel welcome to share your racing knowledge but please avoid the betting side of things as it’s not a path we should be reinforcing and will make some of us a wee bit uncomfortable.
Are there no ‘junior’ racing forums you might find more age appropriate?
Good wishes.

KKen, i will give you one subtle difference between Caledon and Matt!
Matt tells you his selections, Caledon tells you absolutely jack S**t!
and by the way i read through all that nonsense of Caledons again last night and without mentioning any names,as they know who they are! The
way Caledon managed to stretch that thread was a credit to his ability to
reel in the "Gullibles" that still think their is a magic system you can type
into your computer and out pops the winner of "Race type/ race course"!
Cringe is an understatement!May 13, 2009 at 13:29 #227307Yes APK I agree. It was incredible that Cal managed to maintain that thread for so long without even mentioning a horse or a bet. It was fun whilst it lasted though. We could do with more Cals. What about having someone professing to be a trainer, owner, bookie or media personality? I can think of some great webs to weave.
KMay 13, 2009 at 14:14 #227313It’s always good to have comparisons so I filtered every runner through class, most recent form, overall form and the probable market:

2.10 Photographic, Tartan Gunna
2.40 High Heeled
3.10 Equiano, Tax Free
3.45 Serious Impact

4.55 Muraweg, Topolski - AuthorPosts
