Everybody seems to be focusing on Frankel being a good thing for the derby!!. Is anybody thinking that World Domination might beat him?. On my ratings they both ran to the same rating on Saturday I would suspect that World Domination can only improve.
Given that Frankel is closely related to Bullet Train and what happened to him after his Derby run, is he the good thing everybody thinks he is.

My oh my, that was a long time ago.

Still, World Domination is back today and the question must be why Prince Khalid and team Cecil have persevered with the one-time Derby favourite. He could easily have been sold or found a home elsewhere if he wasn’t showing any ability at home; the fact that he’s still an entire suggests that they’re still hopeful of making a stallion out of him, so a few more wins on his CV would be nice.

I’m sure Venjee will thank you for bringing this topic back up ‘Is Frankel the good thing everyone thinks he is?’

Personally I’ve backed Van Der Neer today but should he be out the picture i’ll be cheering on World Domination. It would be some training performance if WD wins and would some up Sir Henry’s training ability as he will have played a big part in readying the horse. Hopefully he gets a place at least for team Cecil.

It would be some feat to win with World Domination today but he has been backed in from 25/1 to as low as 14/1

I’m not really convinced this is Van Der Neer’s trip and you would think John Gosden would have a gauge through that one with Remote to his runner today Excess Knowledge but who really knows. I’m willing to take a chance on him at 16/1 though with Afsare probably the other one I would think about given the French horse’s short odds and improved form on soft last time being something he might not reproduce on the faster ground despite the drop in grade today.

Excess Knowledge each way at 16/1 for a few quid and a bit of interest.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Not much encouragement from World Domination’s effort today. After some support overnight they couldn’t give him away on the course. As usual when you try to find a reason to take on the favourite it wins, but I was happy with how Excess Knowledge stayed on for third.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

This horse must show something on the Newmarket gallops. I know he’s had his problems, one of the being a chipped bone I believe but you’d think he must be showing up to be brought back as a 5YO. Not only that he has been given entries in Grp1s over the past few months. Admittedly he’s not taken any of them up.

I’ll give him that run, he should come on for it, but I can’t help but remember that run back on the Lingfield AW which was pretty dire.
