Well the big one in football is nearly upon us & I’m personally looking forward to the Worl Cup 2010 tournament in South Africa.
SPAIN
Quite a few folks favourite to win & why not, as they have vision & great one touch football & what they don’t have in size they certainly make up for in skill & play the game the way is was meant to be played. If they have a fully fit Iniesta then, I think they have an excellent chance of winning & are my personal favourites.ARGENTINA
Really struggled in the qualifiers, but I think they have an excellent chance especially with their formidable front line – Messi, Tevez & Milito to name a few. They are a bit light weight at the back, but are still my second favourites behind Spain.ENGLAND
Probably have their best chance of lifting the trophy since the late Sir Bobby Robson’s team of 1990. They have an excellent manager & disciplinarian in Fabio Capello & if they keep their main player’s fit then, they have a good chance, but I think they will find one to good & are my third favourites to win the world cup.BRAZIL
Going for an incredible sixth World Cup title & are always there or there abouts. I think they rely to much on Kaka & I personally don’t think they will win it & are my fourth favourites.THE REST
The current holders Italy have a slim chance of lifting a superb fifth title, but most of their best players are 30+. Holland also have a slim chance & play an attractive & open game, but I don’t think their squad is strong enough. Germany have been in decline for a while & have little to know chance, especially with their captain Ballack out injured & France have no chance, as they have only a couple of stand out players & are a spent force. Portugal are the only other team worth a mention, but rely to much on the services of Ronaldo. The only outsider bet worth considering is for the two South American teams who qualified ahead of Argentina & just behind Brazil – Chile & Paraguay are currently available at 66/1 & 100/1 respectively.Cheers

They certainly have the World Cup pedigree along with Italy & Germany, but rely too much on Kaka & although they have a chance, I would be surprised if they even reach the semi’s in South Africa!
