Bolt is too short at 2/5 for this race.
Justin Gatlin was only 1/100th of a second behind in the 100m and has been much more prolific at 200m than Bolt this season.
Bolt is pretty rusty at 200m in comparison and I feel Gatlin has less pressure now that he was beaten as hot favourite in the 100m.
At 13/8 or better I think Gatlin is the bet here.
Mens 200m Justin Gatlin 13/8
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

August 26, 2015 at 15:49 #1183721When is the race Steve?
It’s 1.55pm Tomorrow (Thursday) Nathan.
Gatlin was more impressive in his semi final and clocked a faster time than Bolt. Bolt looked cosy enough but I think that took a bit more out of him than it did Gatlin today.
7/4 available on Gatlin now and that’s crazy good value in my opinion. He’s looked slicker than Bolt technically in the 200m and if he can’t get fired up for this race he never will. I am confident Gatlin will win this.
The BBC in general had talked bollocks about Bolt going into the 100m. You would have thought he had lost a leg and had no chance at all. He still broke 10 seconds despite stumbling and it was clear he was far from a forlorn hope. Going into that Final I felt Bolt was the bet at the 5/2 available.
Now I believe the opinion has swayed too far the other way and Colin Jackson was talking complete and utter bollocks when he said he felt Bolt gave a 200m semi final performance that suggested he had plenty more to come and could do “Something really special in the Final”
Michael Johnson politely disagreed with Colin about something really special being likely, when he probably felt like slapping him senseless for uttering such verbal dysentery. Jackson was earlier talking crap in the women’s 100m Final and I think he’s a poor analyst. Crammie isn’t much better, completely failing to notice that Usain Bolt stumbled early in his 100m semi-final. I think they would be a lot better actually paying attention to what is going on, than thinking about the next inane remark they are going to make.
Anyway it’s Gatlin for me all day at 7/4.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 26, 2015 at 19:16 #1183785Think you could be right SC. Unfortunately I’ll miss the race, although I couldn’t back that cheating %$#&. I’ll be hoping Bolt all the way just like the 100. That was probably my favourite result of the year

I can’t stand Gatlin either. I have always loved Bolt, he landed me a good bet when I backed him to beat Michael Johnson’s 200m world record.
It’s all about the value though and I think it was tension that cost Gatlin the 100m race. Had he relaxed over the last 20 metres I think he would have held on narrowly there.
Despite Colin Jackson’s claim, I think Bolt is a shade below his very best.
Gatlin continues to drift and is an incredible 2/1 now. That’s reason to get down to Ladbrokes and lob a few quid on.
Justin Gatlin 2/1 after going into the 100m 2/5 and being beaten narrowly is just crazy logic.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 27, 2015 at 13:16 #1184205What can you say. I doubted Bolt was in that sort of form but the bigger story was that Gatlin is a bottler. He’s run much faster than he did in this final already this year and he ran like a man who didn’t believe he could win this and he folded tamely in comparison with Bolt.
The druggie got pumped twice, which is great for the sport. Gatlin reckoned he wasn’t getting the respect he deserved. Maybe if he didn’t keep bottling it he might get a grudging nod.
As Matt Chapman would say, this Bolt is just “Different Gravy”
Gatlin is another type of “Gravy” on this evidence
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 27, 2015 at 13:49 #1184218I had Bolt at 13/8 for the 100m&200m with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in the women 100m and Mo Farrah in the 10k. Paid 4.3/1 for the fourfold. Also got bolt at 8/11 for the 200m. So around £500 profit for £220 in stakes. Bolt was always going to win the 200m, Its his favoured event because his long stride and his ability to run a bend better than anyone, If he gets a crap start he knows he can catch up in the straight and if he’s in front after the bend no one will catch him.
I could never back anyone like Gatlin the way he bottled it in the 100m, he started flailing his arms in the same manor at the end of the 200m. Can’t handle the pressure.
August 27, 2015 at 19:57 #1184446I think the camera man must have had a bet on Gatlin as he took Bolt right off his feet.

It was a good job Bolt had taken off his spikes otherwie that would have been really nasty. If you look at the incident again, the cameraman’s segway crashes into the back of Bolt’s legs pushing his feet forward, i.e. taking them from under him. Had he been wearing spikes, the feet would have stayed put as the spikes would have been dug into the track and the segway would have caused a lot of damage.
Could have been very nasty and even career ending.

That wasn’t a camera man Nathan.
I can reveal that he was my paid “Hitman” and, typically for me, he didn’t get the job done right. The “Nobble” was supposed to happen before the final but the word on the street is that the fake camera man has a bit of the Jimmy Saville about him and got distracted when loitering about the ladies changing rooms, missing his chance to crock the man forever know to my brother in law as “Eugene Bolts”, despite being corrected 200 times.
Justin Gatlin’s coach has done all the analysis on the ex druggie’s two finals and has now published the report into why his man lost.
If you watch the 200m Final video closely, you will notice Gatlin looking at Bolt just before there are then three distinct/different facial expression made. The coach has found that these three expressions are in direct synch with the moments where Gatlin’s sphincter was cycling through a three phase pattern where the diameter was rapidly changing in size consistent with a 5p coin, 50p coin and £2 coin.
This is an age old problem that used to called the “fluttering of the clapper valve” in olden days and more recently, in pre-decimalisation days, was known as Farthing Florin Half Crown Syndrome.
Gatlin’s Gun was firing too many “bullets” in effect.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 3, 2015 at 16:02 #1195883I don’t suppose Gatlin would of got away with what our team did at sports day.
I can remember the last year in primary school we had sussed out the scores and needed a 1st place in the last race which was the year 6 lap around the park for the whole year. Myself and a lad from another team were both the fastest but to seal the race a few from my team managed to block him for a few seconds which was enough as I shot clear into the lead. Tight, cruel bastids we were at school……!!Did you notice the USA relay team as they lined up together for the cameras before the race.
GAY GATLIN RODGERS BROMELL
No wonder they got disq

That’s a bloody long run that Nathan, a whole year! You would have started the race with no pubic hair, yet finished with a voice two octaves lower and a b-bag like Thetford Forest.
If only the British athlete Phil Brown were on the last leg we could have had Gay Gatlin Rodgers Brown.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
