Almost named after my school, obviously because I went there, I regard this as my race.
23 entries, including Francesco Clemente.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 14, 2023 at 18:19 #16514906/1 available about Francesco Clemente and it is his only entry at the meeting.
It is quite tempting given that he should have won easily at Goodwood last time. But can he be relied on?
June 14, 2023 at 18:23 #1651491I’m effectively closed down (restricted to zero stakes) with Coral and Ladbrokes, so 5/1 is the best I can get.
Wasn’t the most competitive of handicaps, but bolting in by an easy nine lengths off OR 99 in a Class 2 1m2f Handicap on fast ground is the performance of a horse who is Group 3 standard at least and while he chucked it away on the bend last time he must have a big chance in a Listed affair surely misnamed after a Comprehensive School in Hull.

June 14, 2023 at 19:42 #1651497Might be worth seeing what happens regarding the confirmations in the Hunt Cup tomorrow. I had a suspicion beforehand but couldn’t act upon it because there were no entries before today for this that Saga who’d have been close to fav in the Hunt Cup given his profile might come here instead as the trip might suit more and it could be easier which sounds strange as he’ll be one of the lowest rated but it’ll be easier to win this with a max field of 16 when he’s not far off that standard than winning the cavalry charge that is a Hunt Cup when he’d need to be that standard off his rating. He’s been given an entry which is very interesting. Sorry fellas but I think this might be Gosden’s one not Francesco Clemente.

June 19, 2023 at 20:17 #1652049Ian by any chance do you come from Hull with you rknowledge of schools and the Hilary Needler at Beverley
June 19, 2023 at 20:31 #1652054My family moved to Hull (Kirk Ella) in 1976 when I was 13 and I attended Wolfreton until 1981 when I left home to go to university.
Beverley (in April 1977) was the first racecourse I ever visited and holds a very special place in my heart.
I worked for Habbershaws as a summer job and knew many of the city’s big betting characters – bookmakers Jack Ferens and Nigel Culbert (very shrewd punter too) and pro punters like Chris Kelly and Eddie Gilman.
I was back there in August 2021 for Beverley Bullit Day and was delighted to find it unchanged in many ways – I walked the circuit I used to run round every Sunday morning when I was at City Of Hull athletics club after racing and it was like going back 40 years in time, just wonderful.

June 19, 2023 at 22:59 #1652088Happy to go with Buckaroo. Like what I’ve seen from him, and was a straightforward choice for me in this.
Buckaroo 7’s
June 20, 2023 at 12:32 #1652183Highland Avenue – 22/1 EW (with Paddy Power last night)..now generally 16’s.
Seems to be getting better with each of his races and he’s a real eyecatcher.Nice story about your old school and past memories Ian, best of luck this is a tricky one…
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 20, 2023 at 12:43 #1652186With the going change I think Raadobarg is overpriced at 80/1 with Paddy/Betfair. He ran a nice race behind Chindit last time here at a mile and was a neck behind today’s 12/1 rival Poker Face on reappearance. 5 places, cue finishing 6th.
Had a couple of quid on Buckaroo earlier in the week, have cashed out for small profit on Francesco Clemente, sad face if he wins, wouldn’t be surprised if he got scratched.June 20, 2023 at 12:51 #1652189I think the Crisford’s POKER FACE e/w @ 12/1 is interesting.
good luck to allJune 20, 2023 at 14:17 #1652206I liked Royal Champion last year, so I’ll stay with him at 30-1
June 20, 2023 at 17:32 #1652324Happy with my bet on Francesco Clemente.
But Dettori, riding for the King, at his last Royal Ascot and the owner’s first as monarch.
I fear it is all set for a Dettori flying dismount and “Look At Me” performance.
