I’d personally like to see My Way come back to form that he showed in 2006 and 2007, at the festivals mainly.
Voy Por to win the Ryanair would also be brilliant.
Well Chief to come back to fitness and be as good a horse as he was in the past when competing with Moscow Flyer and Azertyioup.
January 1, 2009 at 15:59 #200794I was going to say I wish Araazi was still around
Happy New year mate.I wish and hope they do well for you Gareth as you are definitally a die hard fan.
Just don’t be betting them
January 1, 2009 at 16:47 #200801Simon to win the Grand National.
Godolphin to have a good year.
Me to get to Lingfield more.
I won’t be greedy, that’ll do.
January 1, 2009 at 16:52 #200802Scottish trained winners at Cheltenham and Aintree. Mirage Dore maybe?
Sam Morshead’s plan for Easifix hurdles at Perth to get the go ahead.

January 1, 2009 at 19:09 #200831A Champion Hurdle / Gold Cup double – Harchibald and Kauto Star !
January 1, 2009 at 19:11 #200833Defo good to see Arazi back though hardly think taking a few turf races and the Classic is dominating the Breeders Cup mind.
Looks like one of my wishes is up the creek in the fourt race of the year (think Mysterious Green suffered a fatal injury from what I’ve heard)

I’d like to see My way de solzen come back to form and win some good races.
Also Blythe knight to do well both in NH racing and the flat, i think he is a great versatile horse and would love to see him in the winners enclosure a few times.I’d like to Tizzards to have a good season and to see some of their horses at the big meetings, like sou’wester and joe lively.
of course for horses and jockeys to get home as safe as possible. and for more people to get into racing and see it as a good thing.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
January 1, 2009 at 20:42 #200854Yeats and Septimus to clash in the Ascot Gold Cup.
Sadly, with the connections they have it’ll probably never happen.
January 1, 2009 at 21:52 #200875Denman to come back as good as he was last season, and for him to slam them in the Gold Cup in the same manner and style he did in March.
He’s closest thing I’ve ever seen to the perfect steeplechaser.
January 1, 2009 at 22:06 #200878Wishes for 2009:
The ‘Budapest Bullet’, Overdose, to do the sprint double at Royal Ascot and prove he’s the best sprinter in the world.
Mick Fitz to be a permanent fixture on Channel 4 racing.
Hayley Turner to be nominated for, or indeed win, the ‘Woman of the Year’ award.
German racing, despite announcing a loss of 9 million Euros for 2008, can get itself going again and produce some excellent race days.
The BBC to go back on their word of reducing their racing coverage, and realise that racing is too big a sport to kill off.
And, if I can be greedy, on a personal view…….
That, on behalf of Mr. Gerd Zimmermann and Stall Jenny, I climb the steps to the presentation rostrum at Cheltenham and lift the prize for winning owner in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
Well, SOME of the above might happen!!

January 2, 2009 at 00:54 #200910I would like the idiots who run Deauville to get out of bed and turn the track so horses don`t get injured and whole programmes don`t need to be cancelled!
I would also like to land a few coups at the above track during the next week so my year is paid for

I hope Henrietta Knight keeps focused and aims Calgary Bay at the Arkle despite her comments suggesting he would be run off his feet!
On a differant note i hope Chelsea can get it together and win the Champions league !
Then the usual stuff with Good health for all

Sam Morshead’s plan for Easifix hurdles at Perth to get the go ahead.
Can I add to that Scotland to win the Grand Slam. I will be totally insufferable for weeks.
A really top class Hunter Chaser in the mould of Grittar or Otter Way or the legendary Scottish hero’s Flying Ace and Freddie to emerge. I saw both of them race several times
January 2, 2009 at 19:44 #201047Whenever i buy a copy of the Racing Post i do not see a text from Big Dave Osborne in Enfield.
