    Full Card

18.40 Starlight Children’s Foundation Fillies’ Handicap (Class 5) (3YO plus)

Richard Hannon sends out two in the race in Lush and the selection ARLENE PHILIPS. has shown some progression from her two year old days with two good runs with one on the All Weather and her last run when finishing staying on over an extended 9f at Brighton on the 27th May, drops another 2lb for tonights encounter and a bottomless weight to carry under Charles Eddery. The draw is not favourable for the Groom Dancer filly but she looks like one that is going the right way in this field and could sneak a place each way at a good price.

    Selection : ARLENE PHILIPS (1/2pt e/w @ 6/1 Bet365)

19.10 Dylan Thomas Maiden Auction Stakes (Class 5) (2YO only)

Eye catching booking for the Barry Hills new comer ROCKABILLY REBEL of Philip Robinson who has sixty rides under his belt for the trainer with 5 winners and 15 have been placed.By Kyllachy through a bloodline of Pivotal and Distant Relative he probably will be better for the run tonight, he has to contend with some in this that have had a benefit of a run, but any money behind this would be interesting on it’s chances this evening.

    Selection : ROCKABILLY REBEL (1/2pt e/w @ 6/1 Ladbrokes)

    19.40 Sunley Handicap (Class 4) (3YO only)

Probably one of the better races’s on the card and i have gone for the Richard Hannon’s Invincible Spirit filly MAMLAKATI who i feel makes good value of odds around 8/1.Is not exposed and finished last of the four runners on his years re-appearance to Carcinetto in a Class 2 Conditions race at Leicester and that was over 7f, He finished fourth of five to Jersey Stakes winner Ouqba and was a CD winner on his 2 year debut when beating Poyle Meg by three parts of a length, the second, third and fourth have all won since then and he could get in the mix here under Richard Hughes who is riding at the top of his game at present.

    Selection : MAMLAKATI (1/2pt e/w @ 7/1 VC Bet)

    20.10 Handicap (Class 4) (3YO only)

Richard Hughes and Hannon should have a winner on the card with CUMANA BAY this evening.Has made a good transission from 2 to 3 with two seconds and a win in a Fillies handicap at Newbury on the 30th May when beating Bea Menace by an easy three and a quarter lengths, coming here on a 7lb penalty but is one that is improving this year, the step up to 8f should not inconvenience her, my only concerns is that she is taking on the guys here but looks capable to go in again.

    Selection : CUMANA BAY (1pt Win @ 2/1 Betfair)

20.40 Pertemps Network Maiden Stakes (Class 5) (3YO only)

Roger Charlton’s Truely Asia ran creditable enough to finish fourth on debut to Prince of Johanne at Newbury on the 16th May over 7f, but that was on good to soft and could go much better here now the ground has firmed up but the selection comes from the Simon Callaghan yard in SATURN GIRL who made a pleasing debut when finishing fourth to Cartoon over 8f CD back on the 20th April and has had two month lay off so should be ready to re kick start her season with a win here. She will be making late headway in the race and if no traffic problems should get up under Richard Hughes.

Selection : SATURN GIRL (Nap) (2pt Win @ 85/40 VC Bet)

    21.10 St John’s Ambulance Handicap (Class 5) (3YO only)

Simon Callaghan could have a half an hour double up here in MORNING SIR ALAN and the Diktat colt seemed to have some thing in hand when beating Time Machine at Folkestone on the 8th June, has been sent out with out a Hcp penalty and could still be ahead of the handicapper here if showing the form from the last run, the step up should not be a problem as was staying on well at Folkestone and another win on the board.

Selection : MORNING SIR ALAN (Nb) (1.5pt Win @ 13/2 VC Bet)
