    Men’s tournament

    MARIN CILIC 75/1 Enhanced price

A proven grass court player end a title drought with recent win in Mercedes Cup on grass. Start with Caruso and maybe Medvedev in 3rd round but just won MALLORCA could get Dimitrov and Querrey be seen danger to with doubts over Federer every chance go deep here

    FELIX AUGER ALLISAME 66/1

Be something if breaks his duck here but last 2 years shown he proven.on grass his big serve and big hitting game ideal here. May get Tsonga in 2nd round but he out of form similar apply to Kyrgios and while ZVEREV and BERRETINI await he not be scared of those rivals

    REILY OPELKA 250/1

Big hitting American who got ideal game for here has a decent draw with Koepker up 1st while Kwon and Bautista Agut while Shapolov and Tsistipas to but at a big go well

    Women’s bets

    SERENA WILLIAMS 9/1 Ante post

Has Sasonovich and maybe Pera with Kerber in 3rd round a recent winner gor me today but feeling take it our from her. My other ante post bets play Serena to but seeds in this half not proven.on grass and Serena can win again

    BELINDA BENCIC 50/1 Ante post

Been better if avoid Serena but be in 4th round whoever wins that match I fancy get to last 4 at least and the Swiss miss not to be under estimated

    GABRINE MUGURUZA 14/1

Start off season in great form top off with Dubai win form slipped a bit but a recent good run in Germany suggest back in form a winner here before to Ferro Kunetszova no issue on grass Jabeur won a title be awkward while Switiek not have grass form and Sabalenka has issues in slama. Her class carry her far here

    MADISON KEYS 40/1

Did pull out at Eastbourne but better now always felt win Wimbledon has a luck lower then Davis be good enough to beat Mertens and Kudermetova improved and maybe Kvitova be under the weather after Hamburg loss and a great chance for her

Also guys any bets here to

Djokovic should win the men’s tournament but not going to get rich backing him at 8/11 so leaving men’s alone.

Good to see Wimbledon back. My only bet is Muguruza in the women’s singles. A proven winner at the venue and she may be on the best side of the draw.

How the hell did Murray lose that last set from 5-0 up?

Would have been mental if he’d lost the match after being 2-0 up in sets and 5-0 in the third, but it did look a possibility after he lost the third and was looking shattered. The break he had while the roof was closed helped him, so all’s well that ends well.

    Message ends.

    Sorry Daz, forgot about this
I had a whole pound on Zverev at the beginning, only remembered when channel hopping this morning and caught the start of his game before heading off to climb ladders

A very tough task for Andy Murray today.
You can always rely on the guy to give 100%.
Time and fitness looks to be against him.
He has had zero recovery time from his epic encounter the other night.
His opponent today will have watched every second of that match from a comfy sofa and surely will have a game plan to stretch Murray to the limit.
I’d love to be wrong but cannot see beyond straight sets or 3/1 at best.
At worst, early retirement through injury. The other point to note is Shapovalov is a quality opponent. High ranking and a recent grand slam quarter finalist.

Agree about Murray. His effort in the first two rounds has been admirable and I appreciate what he has gone through just to be on a tennis court again – but watching him struggle to beat a very average player was like seeing a former quality Group 1 winner hard ridden to beat a modest handicapper.

Shapovalov must have too much for him and straight sets at 6/4 looks more than fair.

Is Muguruza ever going to get a first serve in?

I share your concerns for Murray guys, it’s going to be hard for him
today. If guts can get you through then he’ll never give up. I’m
living in hope more than expectation.

It is going to be another late one, no matter what happens.

Great work by Shapovalov. Straight sets at odds against was a gift.

No disgrace for Murray. He fought well in the first set but it was too much to ask to beat a quality player after hardly any match practice.

Classy interview by Shapovalov after as well, despite Persad’s inane questions.

Got to hand it to Shapovalov, he looked quite a player and
was too much for Murray. No disgrace for Andy, he did well
to get to Wimbledon at all and put up some fighting performances.
He shouldn’t be too disappointed once the dust has settled.

I would expect to win in straight sets if I played Murray.
He is a shell of the player he once was.

Well done Tomljanovic on calling out Ostapenko’s blatant gamesmanship. Funny how players who call “injury” time outs seldom do when they are winning. Calling for one when she was 4-0 down in the final set was not even subtle.

And she then took far longer than the permitted time and the umpire did nothing. What is the point of the umpires being there if they are not going to do their job and enforce the rules?
