And I’m sure that it was reported a couple of days ago that he was bang on course to run on Saturday so what has happened in the interim?

Zoso – if u believe Paddy Power or any other high street firm have the heads up on Jp’s runners u are sadly deluded my friend.

And Carvills he didn’t become a millionaire by backing anything, he got his tank together by laying. How do u think Frank Berry is still in a job!!?

JP most definitely got his tank by backing. He moved into billionaire class by virtue of his success with foreign currency trading and some excellent business deals.

Good man Luke. Are u speaking from experience there from all your experiences with Jp on the track?? Unlikely I would’ve have thought.

He started off as a bookmaker and he accumulated his money from there as a bookmaker – in certain instances with other individuals representing him often going top price about a number of his own horses.

From there, he moved to backing. So in summary he began his tank from laying.

Complete fantasy- looks like we’ve got a FOF replacement…
I’d say Jonjo is becoming afraid to run anything decent so badly is the stable going

Mate you got a big mouth with way too much to say for yourself.

Not only are you an ignorant SOB you’re not the brightest star in the galaxy are you?

Could it be he has him bang on course for Cheltenham and the last thing he wants to do is give him a hard race and knock him backwards?

Or is that a stupid question to ask someone who is so narrow minded you can only think negatives

Maybe you never noticed Sublimty’s trainer has decided to miss the AIG or that KS and Denman are only having one run each between Xmas when they could have 2 each. It’s pretty much par for the course at this time of the season for horses to miss engagements if the trainer thinks it will do them more harm than good.

You would say Jonjo is afraid to run anything decent would you?…How many runners has Jonjo had in the last fortnight? How many were placed or won? You would think he hadn’t had a winner for a year the way you are going on….geez you talk some rubbish.

Keep my name out of your silly post bozo!!!!!

Could it be he has him bang on course for Cheltenham and the last thing he wants to do is give him a hard race and knock him backwards? Just how forward is he? Do you know? Is he as forward as JP’s BJK was when he ran in the race last year and was soundly beating and hasn’t ran a good race since? Did JP and Jonjo discuss the race isn’t what the horse needs at this time?

I certainly don’t know the answers to these questions and I am fooked if you do.

But hey you continue on with your one man anti Jonjo campaign it’s and your boring uneducated and nonsensical statements. After all what would I know I live in a fantasy world………bit more realistic than the one you are in if you think I will sit back and take your crap and stay silent.

In future keep my name out of your silly post Peabrain!!!!!

    Come on now

Sublimity is not running because the ground is hopeless. Not only that, he seems to be murder to get right (which is why i wont back him for the CH)

KS and Denman do not have anything to prove in the short term but surely WL has not shown the form we would have hoped to have seen and looks like he could be losing enthusiasm, which in itself would lend itself to trying to press a few new buttons with him?

I dont know the real reasons and frankly the big problem here is that JJ’s comments are awful. He hardly helps himself does he?

Wrists of Fists, now there’s a good horse name

You obviously got stem-cell therapy or something mate, doesn’t seem anything wrong with your typing action now!

I think you’ve taken me up a bit wrong here.
I’m one of Jonjo’s biggest fans, from the time he lifted Dawn Run over the line in the Gold Cup when I was skiving off a college exam.
I’ve had some great touches on his horses, including what was at the time my biggest win on Inching Closer in the last race of the first day- there’s a picture of me punching the air when the photo is called which I treasure.

That doesn’t prevent me from calling it how it is- that there are problems at Jackdaws and they’re not getting the results the investment deserves. I thought APs post about the farm not being seen as healthy in the locality was very interesting and could be a factor. I hope they get things sorted for Cheltenham and we’re cheering more Jonjo winners, but at the moment that looks about as likely as you not resorting to petty abuse on this site!

Was it a factor during David Nicholson’s time?

I think I will stay deluded my friend. Ladbrokes have no connection to Aiden O Brien either.

I have racing mates who are also convinced that Jp and JJ are "at it" half the time because Jp is "a gambler"

    I think thats complete rubbish

If JP wanted to make money form the game then he should first set about reducing his unweildly string.

Not only that, if JP is as rich as we are led to believe, fiddling around for a few grand at the races is a bit of a waste of time isnt it? Surely bigger fish to fry?

Sure he likes a bet but the idea that he messing around with the horses chances of realistically being tuned up for a top race to land a few quid is simply betting shop drivel

Time will tell. Im sure JP will be having one almighty punt on one of his horses at the festival. Lets just wait and see which one it turns out to be.

I doubt very much Witchita Linesman was pulled out of Saturdays race due to JP wanting the price to drift. There is probably a valid reason for it,

But if anyone seriously thinks that Jonjos comments, making out he was scared of the opposition was true then perhaps you belong in a betting shop.

It’s clear that Johnjo wants Witchita Linesman to be in perfect condition for the day, hence why he’s ran him sparingly, and over 2m4f (far too short) in his two races this season.

I doubt this is for a gamble though (price is too short, and doesn’t JP prefer to gamble on less obvious horses in handicaps?), just to give him a more likely chance of winning the one that counts.

It does seem a bit cowardly but it’s not that dissimilar from, say, when Dessie Hughes only used to put the blinkers on Hardy Eustace at Cheltenham rather than let him run to his very best in the AIG, etc.

Tell that to the antepost backers who backed Rhinestone Cowboy for the Champion Hurdle in 2004 or those who backed Black Jack Ketchum for the RSA Nov Hdl in 2006.

With regard to Jackdaws Castle during the time Nicholson trained there, it was all brand new then and the problem suggested by the person I spoke to, is that once you have a health problem in the yard, it’s very difficult to get rid of it because of the location.

I’ve been involved with a couple of stables that have been built from scratch and the early years are often very successful. Stan Mellor built on old farm land just outside Swindon and called the yard Pollardstown – in his first full NH season there he had over 30 winners, including Kings Curate in the Stayers Hurdle. But it didn’t last.

My current trainer moved to a custom built yard in East Garston on land never previously used for horses and we’ve had more winners in the two years since than in five years previously. Because he’d had problems in the yard he rented, which was right on top of the Lambourn river, he’s fanatical about hygiene and so far the new yard has stayed clear of any problems.

For info on what I suspect might be the problem at Jackdaws, look up ‘aspergillus horse’ on a search engine – there’s plenty of research and information available.

The novice hurdle races at the festival seem to take a huge amount out of the horses that win them. Most of the winners in recent years have done very little outside of novice level the following season. Noland could be anything, Nicanor we’ll have to wait and see but other than that they’ve largely been disapointing.

I suspect based on his 2 runs against the big guns outside of novice level Wichita Lineman will fall into the disapointing category as well.
