I made Wi Dud’s time in winning the Flying Childers this afternoon a fast one, on ground that was just on the slow side of good.
Any views from others on here interested in time/going allowances?
September 8, 2006 at 18:44 #76628Hi Prufrock
Whilst I don’t have the knowledge on the subject that many on here do, I did notice that the time compared well with the Celtic Mill race. Looks at least as fast as any 2yo has run in this country.
Looking forward to seeing how Eagle Mountain gets on tomorrow, he and Teofilo seemed to run very fast at the Curragh last time, but I’m not 100% sure of the reliability of those figures.
September 8, 2006 at 19:33 #76629I think you’ll find that Wi Dud’s time compares well with others on the card as well, though there seems to be a slight straight track/ round track discrepancy.
Agreed about Eagle Mountain, though it would still be a bit below the standard usually required to win the Sportsman-sponsored Champagne Stakes (the others are further behind, however).
