It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"It was good today. Nice to see some good horses running over jumps at Lingfield again. Even though the ground was testing, the horses were getting through it well enough. And I was happy to see Venetia land a double.
I wish to hail this meeting a tremendous success, catering for a decent quality of horse which thrives in Jump racing’s most testing ground conditions.
Though they no longer have the Sandown Park-esque open ditch alongside the last or natural wings on every fence leafy Lingfield is still a cracking jumps venue.
Looking forward to Sunday – that’s if I’m not arrested beforehand for shooting anyone who compares today’s excellent fare with “the March meeting!”

It bought home how barren racing is outside the Saturdays and Dublin pre Cheltenham
Spot on Ian and yes it’s a great place to watch jumps with those three fences up the straight
Great stuff, Clive – I remember NH racing at Lingfield back in the 80s, horses of the quality of Nick Gaselee’s Berlin, Inlander winning that decent 2m4f handicap hurdle they had the Saturday after Cheltenham.
Today evokes memories of that for me.
