I think that’s entirely possible – if any bookie will offer you a price on “Taliban’s Selected” you could be onto a value wager.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 4, 2021 at 12:28 #1559037I doubt there’s likely to be sufficient cohesion between the Taliban war lords to end up with one ‘Authoritarian Dictator’. I’d guess factional infighting is more likely.
September 4, 2021 at 15:19 #1559084Maybe the Taliban can “Do an Aidan” and be mob-handed?
September 5, 2021 at 22:12 #1559258Nearly 300 posts and this still has me laughing. Love it. Actually, the very fact that this thread is longer than almost any in the Big Race Discussion section makes me laugh in itself.
September 5, 2021 at 23:09 #1559263In some alarming ante-post news, reports are emerging tonight of a rotund man being photographed giving a V sign to the camera following Hitler’s demise.

I wonder what the Taliban Lads have to say….
September 5, 2021 at 23:21 #1559265“Which woman will you stone to death next Aiden?”
“Listen, the Lads will have a chat and decide. Its up to the lads, really”.BUY THE SUN

December 10, 2021 at 11:55 #1571635I’d like to nominate a new entrant for the next running: Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud.
Or, to save the commentator, MBS. Nominated not only for treating many of his people like second class citizens, the war on Yemen and the murder of Jamal Khashoggi but also for giving Geordies hope.
December 10, 2021 at 18:13 #1571709I’m sure there will be ante-post quotes flying around for him in due course.

“Putin signed an executive order on 3 July 2020 to officially insert amendments into the Russian Constitution, allowing him to run for two additional six-year terms. These amendments took effect on 4 July 2020.”
If he invades Ukraine in the near future then an entry must be a certainty.
December 11, 2021 at 06:50 #1571759Putin isn’t like to invade , he,s testing Biden , Biden so far has looked like he wants to deal with issues in the US rather than abroad , Putin is selling gas and he needs to be sure his pipelines are secure , they will be
December 11, 2021 at 07:34 #1571762Boris Johnson has got to be amongst the runners next year. Turned Britain from a country based on Common Law into a Show Us Your Papers regime, while not expecting himself or his staff to abide by the draconian rules he sets for everyone else under threat of punishment.
December 11, 2021 at 07:55 #1571764Boris isn’t a dictator he,s the village idiot , a dictator rules by fear , he,s as scary as a baby’s teddy bear
December 11, 2021 at 07:59 #1571767“he,s as scary as a baby’s teddy bear”
But not as cuddly.
Which is surprising, seeing how fat he is.
December 11, 2021 at 08:18 #1571769Compared to some of the runners last year – Basil Fawlty for example – he is more than worthy of his place in the line up! Although, given the amount of condition he is carrying, I would not expect a bold showing. He might need a race or two to get him ready.
