    The 4-year-old filly suffered a fatal injury in her first race this afternoon, the Mares’ Bumper at Catterick.

    That’s just too tragic for words. It’s horrible at Catterick today. You’ve got to wonder what was going through the poor horse’s mind – her first go in really awful conditions then to die like that. Too sad.

    Poor little girl, she didn’t seem to have any idea what was expected of her, ran very green and then for that to happen. RIP little lady :(

    The 7th race of the card run in the worst possible conditions and contested by very unexperienced horses!!!
    Do we need that???
