At least my other half is understanding about my liking Jane – which is probably just as well.
Last time we were in New York we met up with an old friend of mine who was, at the time, the BBC’s New York Business correspondent. We went to see him do his live News 24 broadcast before going out for dinner.
Afterwards my wife pointed out I had spent most of the evening chatting about Jane Hill – I’m telling you if she hadn’t been there I would have been asking him to arrange an introduction
