Feck you up the expletive?
Nick Luck is a top class presenter BTW.
July 16, 2007 at 06:26 #108063Well Luck makes me gringe when I know hes on, but each to his own if you like him then fair enough I won’t ever agree. Best presenter is Sean Boyce just right not loud and over the top like Chapman and not boring like Tony Ennis he does the job he is paid to do and he points out the market movers brilliantly and entertains.
July 16, 2007 at 09:42 #108071It’s quite understandable that many find young Nick irritating as he does tend to exude an aura of supreme self-confidence reinforced by rather delicious ’50s BBC bow-tied vowels the late John Snagge would be proud of, but his professionalism is second to none; he does his homework, gets the best out of and melds well with his guest pundits, has a ready humour, and actually has a fairly encyclopaedic knowledge of his subject.
A pleasure to listen to.
July 16, 2007 at 09:50 #108073Drone, that post could have been written by Nick………………..have you two ever been seen in the same room together?
Colin
July 16, 2007 at 15:37 #108139Drone cant be Nick Luck as he has Classic and Winner under his name which are two words I wouldnt associate with Mr Luck
July 16, 2007 at 16:07 #108146…have you two ever been seen in the same room together?
Not together, but I’m almost certain he was a member of the same Club before being forced to seek what approximates to ‘work’
July 16, 2007 at 17:27 #108161Luke Harvey is so annoying but he’s everyones friend in racing it would seem when it comes to racing so gets some good interviews.
July 16, 2007 at 17:40 #108163Pardon me, is this the queue to register for the Get Lesley Graham Off Our Screens Now club? Where do I sign?
I could even put up with Outspan Chapman if we could persuade him to do the programme on, I dunno, valium and beta-blockers.
Willie Carson has the occasional valuable or interesting insight, but his inability to string a coherent sentence together makes me want to push him off his box sometimes.
Thommo is a legend! A fairly buffoonish, mildly cringe-making legend I grant you, but racing TV wouldn’t be the same without him.
July 16, 2007 at 17:47 #108164…………………true, it would be so much better.
Colin
July 16, 2007 at 17:53 #108166Lesley usually appears if shes off to some corporate do or freebie she’s received in the area of filming, like taking her son to a football match. But you’ve got to admit its funny in a cold winter when she’s got that ridiculous fur outfit on that an eskimo wouldnt be seen dead in. Pity this year was mild it may be motheaten in her cupboard by now

Seconded without reservation. A consummate broadcaster.

Adoptive father of two. The patron saint of lower-grade fare. A gently critical friend of point-to-pointing. Kindness is a political act.
July 17, 2007 at 17:59 #108278Being new on here ive been looking through quickly the oldest posts and noticed Sean Boyce writes on here a lot any other of the racing presenters or experts contribute
July 17, 2007 at 18:14 #108279Richard Hoiles and Lee Mackenzie have posted on here.
Colin
July 17, 2007 at 18:34 #108284Richard Hoiles has grown on me recently i never used to rate him but he is a damn good commentator.
July 17, 2007 at 19:05 #108289Barry Dennis also, albeit quite sparingly.
