Michael Palin’s on my list too. He’s not an ‘ex’ anything. He’s as much a star now as he ever was.

    Let’s hope so Purwell,
    he was a contrarian,
    that the normals had
no answer to. He gave lovely
interviews. Came alive with a Mike.

We kinda hope you are still here Den.

15 years since the opening post, Mrs T and HRH are no longer with us. However Boris is questionable even back then.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

How very embarrassing, talk about the past coming back to haunt. I have to admit that 15 years ago I must have fallen for the ‘harmless jolly buffoon’ persona so carefully cultivated by Boris Johnson, and suspect it was around the time of his famous/infamous appearance on Have I Got News For You

If there was a facility to edit ancient posts I would

Don’t hold it against me will you

Drone we all make mistakes, and researching it, it was the year after he was mayor of London.

Surely Tim Berners-Lee. We wouldn’t be discussing these sorts of things with people you don’t really know if it wasn’t for him.
