    Personally, here’s my list.

Workforce: Very lightly raced, could be an all-time legend.

Cape Blanco: Brilliant at 10f, potential Eclipse winner.

Dick Turpin: Lovely Miler, seems to be improving with every race.

What about you? Also, since you chaps seem to know more, which ones do we think/know are going to be packed off to stud?

    Fourthed

Edited to add … Canford Cliffs is one who I’d definitely love to see kept in training!

I think ‘all of them’ probably includes Canford Cliffs, GORV!

    I like the look of

    Jan Vermeer

probably because i have backed him at 25/1 for next years King George! Obviously before the thought even entered my head they would keep a Derby winner in training at 4yo!! :o

I might not want to keep any of them in training as next year could be a vinatge year the way these 2yo are springing up all over the place. Henry’s other horse started at 1/14 but only won by 30 lengths today

But without a crystal ball handy I’ll go with :-

Canford Cliffs without a shadow of a doubt. He has the class to be a threat to anything they throw at him in a normal year from 8f to possible 10f next season.

I’d possibly retire Workforce, There something about him that makes me think he won’t be suited by tactical races in small fields which you tend to get in the races he would be targeted at. I’d send him for the same race Conduit won at the Breeders then pack him off to stud.

Snow Fairy I can’t see any sense in keping her in training she’d be there already.

Makfi I’d take the money and run he’s simply not good enough to be chasing rainbows while Canford Cliffs is still around let alone what might spring up next season.

Rewilding is a horse I would keep in training. I’d aim him at races abroad though like Meydan and the Breeders. He’s a good horse and coud be a lot better with another year on his back.

St Nicholas Abbey: 100% he should stay in training. My advice is have abit in him for the Champion Stakes you can get 21 on the machine.

He goes for an excercise canter in a Mickey Mouse listed race on Sunday and if he hacks up could very well run at Newmarket.

The race on Sunday is over 1m4f which may seem an odd prep race for a 10f Group 1 but AOB is obviously thinking possible Champion Stakes and beyond. Be surprised if he doesn’t turn out on Sunday as he’s said to be flying again. Only problem is he’s always been the subject of hype and seems to be catching pigeons or walking on water everytime his name comes up.

SNA Breeders Turf? Johnny on board? the mind boggles.

Sarafina for me. I really hope she stays in training as I am sure we haven’t seen the best of her yet.

On the off chance she does stay in training, I hope we see her in the likes of the Eclipse, King George, Juddmont, and Arc next season.

St. Nicholas Abbey, but only if he retains the ability that he once promised to have.
I agree with the previously expressed sentiment that next years 3 year olds really have me looking forward with anticipation (and hoping that Frankel turns out to be the best of them for Mr Cecil)

He did beat 2 horses unlikely to make it out of class 7 handicap company, in heavy ground over 10f. Actually thought he would start closer to 1/50 mind

Agree would like to see Rewilding kept in training, but back with Andre Fabre :(

Why you think Jan Vermeer for the King George i don’t think he stays 1m4 that well 3races this season proved that.Even AOB has said next year he be drop down in trip down to a 1m2 races

More chance of winning the Triumph hurdle than the King George. He’s hardly one of AOB’s shining lights and if he does stay in training he’ll run him in those 10 races that Fame and Glory won.

As a pacemaker for Cape Blanco :D

    I think

    Jan Vermeer

being kept in training as a 4yo speaks for itself! he never hit the heady heights as a 3yo because he is mentally weak,he was given a poor ride in the Irish Derby and yet still got within 2l of Cape blanco,he stays 11/2m just fine handles any ground has won a Group 1 and is a beautiful looking colt, very athletic! I backed

    Duke of Marmalade

at 20/1 for the King george the year before he won and i did the same last year with

    Harbinger

at 25/1. Corals confirmed i was the only person in 2009 to have had a bet on the horse for the following years King george so without "Gloating" i"m quietly confident! Fist was about the only other person i can remember who rated Harbinger before his wheels fell off last year! funnily enough my Ante-Post selection for last years King george was Tartan Bearer whom many thought had no chance, his stable companion Conduit beat him into 2nd fair and square but at 14/1 i still made a profit! In fact it was old Fisty who was keen on the winners chances there too good judge that he is! He would get an invite to the Kings 10 around the table meeting i occassionaly chair!
