Lucky 15 bet
A Lucky 15 consists of 15 bets involving 4 selections in different events, i.e. 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold. Just one successful selection guarantees a return.
Betfair do have multiple bets available i believe, but not on the horses

April 30, 2007 at 05:30 #55726Hi all
Lucky 15 is a brilliant bet. (with Betfred)
Have all your reqular bets, then place a Lucky 15 at a
tenth of your usual stake. If you have a good day you are covered for a big payout+15%. Treble the odds for one winner will return most of the stake.
Losers hate Lucky15’s

April 30, 2007 at 10:43 #55727Lately I’m always hoping for a "Foinavon" at the last so my horse can win!
madman marz – what do you do when you do a Lucky15 on the Flat?

Dave I like to do e/w Lucky 15’s. I espiecially like to pick horses that are around 4, 5 or 6/1 in flat maidens, Flat claimers or maiden hurdles where there is a short priced fav and with only 3 or 4 horses in with a reasonable chance of actually winning the race.
Even if none of the horses win but are all placed there is still a decent profit for your outlay. And of course the 3 times the odds one winner is a plus.
Incidently Dave I had 5 Euro e/w on Scott Verplank to win the Byron Nelson Golf at 66/1, a nice few quid on a monday morning.
Thats 3 yr old maidens Dave I very seldom ever back in a 2yr old maiden.
May 1, 2007 at 11:26 #55734I’m not a regular visitor to the Betfair forum, actually never read any threads there, but is this the format of the threads?
For decent debate it needs someone to kick it off – click new topic button if you want a decent discussion, i’m sure there are others who will contribute if the topics interesting

May 1, 2007 at 12:31 #55743What some might think is a decent thread, others might find it boring and tedious, if everyone bloody agreed on everything you might aswell close the forum. If you dont like a thread well dont reply to it, "Simple Really".
Have to agree Empty Wallet if Salselon has something to say then open up a new thread or maybe we are going to keep getting the same old threads dressed up in another guise.

They reckon two years is the longest you should spend on any Internet forum. There’s only SO much you can debate – we’ve done most of them before.
JJ and Salselon are saying more about Forums in general, rather than TRF imo.
Errrrrrrrrrr…a Tote Monopoly? Are the Exchanges to Racing, what Pandora’s Box was to the ancient Greeks? Should Tom Queally have been suspended for that ride at Wolver yesterday?
Nope…I’m struggling for fresh stuff…
May 1, 2007 at 13:19 #55745Well Max we have the result of the guinneas to debate at the w/end, the relative merits of the winners or losers.
So all is not lost
May 1, 2007 at 14:24 #55746…and that usually causes enough cyberfighting to keep everyone amused, Madman!
May 1, 2007 at 14:26 #55747Hi all
wouldn’t it be nice to actually go somewhere! To hold true to a thread, explore it but still feel a sense of worthy meandering. Periodically consolidating any gains with a logical turn of the ratchet called progress.
Heyho……. if only it was possible to fight the tide of inane drivel.
Declare it serious or it not so serious my fellows.

"I think I can smell something burning"
May 1, 2007 at 14:31 #55748Not enough quality threads to debate??
How about:
Should Germans be allowed on racecourses?
Could Nelson Mandela settle an each-way Flag?
Who is the funniest – Peter Kay, Bernard Manning or Derek Thompson?
If horses had five legs, would NH racing survive?
Can Ginger McCain appear on TV without swearing?
Who would win in a fight betwenn that poncy bloke who does the fashion at Royal Ascot and Oscar de la Hoya?
What is the point of Folkestone?
If you were to drug a chaser, would you use Nuttalls Mintoes or Werthers Originals?
What are one’s chances of drawing a royal flush in the FOBT of life (philosoph.)?
Why does horse’s pooh-pooh smell so much nicer than doggy-doos?
