The question posed by Darryl Williams on ATR after the low sun at Ffos Las’s 7.15 meant they only jumped 3 fences missing out the three in the back straight and home stretch all missed out.
Are there any rules how many hurdles make a hurdle race before it is just a flat race?
This has happened before at Ffos Las, a bit of a farce really.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise as the sun tends to set in the same place and time each year! Surely the meeting could have been swapped with one of the flat meetings and run in the afternoon to avoid this potential problem.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
Should have built the track the other way round, better to jump fences in the straight rather than down the back straight and have an enormously long run in. They would have jumped twice as many as well last night in most of the races affected.
