THUNDER G(E)ORGE
THUNDER GORGE is a horse I think could run a big race at a huge price today in the Ascot 5.05.
Was well supported before his first run of the season at Kempton a month or so ago, so clearly connections feel the horse is in good order.
He tried making all, but was far too buzzy and free early doors, eventually and unsurprisingly running out of stamina.
That was the horses first run for 170 odd days, so he should be alot fitter and sharper today.
The horse has run well previously over todays C & D, finishing 3rd in a 16 runner handicap similar to todays.
Drawn in trap 1 should suit the horse also, as he will have the rail to run against.
If Steve Drowne can get the horse to settle better infront today, Thunder Gorge looks capable of running a good race at a massive price.
Clearly the race is ultra competitive and a bit of a lottery, but Thunder Gorge is worth chancing each way at the 50/1 available with Bet 365 this morning.
THUNDER GORGE E / W 50/1
April 29, 2009 at 16:27 #224306Ah, the sort of selection and reasoning I can identify with!
I hope you got the price as it’s only 19 on Betfair at the momnet.

Fingers crossed.
April 29, 2009 at 17:23 #224319Actually saw this one last night and liked the look of him, then looked on oddschecker and he was 67s so was a bit put off, so when seen him looking fairly positive this morning I had a go, but only got 16s. Hopefully it get’s a result though, nice one getting the 50s.
