    I gave up ironing years ago; realised that if you hung dampish clothes on coathangers they uncreased themselves…however, just recently I have started wanting to iron things again eg tea towels..I haven’t done so yet [not sure where the iron is] but it worries me……

    Ah, the beloved but reviled mobile ‘phone. It is both a blessing and a curse in my view – on the one hand you can stay in touch, wherever you are (almost), on the other you are expected to be constantly available.

    Of course, we did manage perfectly well without the damned things.
