Apologies Luke. As you say, tender handling does not always mean one thing.
March 27, 2002 at 00:29 #99019Starring (Ed Dunlop) ran a cracker on her debut at Lingfield (1m 2f) on Monday 25th March, she was flying at the finish and may have beaten the decent Spinney (B Hills) in another few yards, she is one to be on next time IMO.
March 27, 2002 at 12:38 #99020Looks like this thread could run and run.
Daylight, maybe a heading of its own (like Titanics) – Noted non-triers, or eyecatchers??
March 27, 2002 at 15:43 #99021Dear Escorial
I see where Georgia Peach and Backcraft are both entered at Haydock on Saturday. We will see how the Peach does!
March 27, 2002 at 17:09 #99022Would be a good idea i reckon – TRF could put the stewards out there to shame!
March 30, 2002 at 12:07 #99023Zzass,democracy runs on monday@warwick,the distance of the race is just under 11f.
March 30, 2002 at 15:21 #99024Re: Georgia Peach
As a subscriber to Sports Adviser, it’s interesting that Georgia Peach has been listed by a pro punter as a horse to swerve – I’m inclined to agree.
March 30, 2002 at 20:46 #99025Hi Luke,
DO I REMEMBER PROKOFIEV!!?? (must just compose myself a bit here:laugh:) but I was at that Aintree meeting and yes did see Prokofiev and remember the hoo-haa afterwards. As far as I was concerned this simply became one to keep a serious eye on (the purpose of this thread as it happens). I was sure this horse was being lined up for a tilt at the Festival at a serious price, and further runs seemed to prove this, but I backed it a couple of times anyway to no avail. So…………I gave up on it, the Festival didn’t happen anyway and the next time it ran (Newcastle I think) it was never headed and trotted in at 33/1 AAAARRRGGGHHH – not that I’m bitter or anything:crying:
March 31, 2002 at 11:09 #99026what did I see? i saw Falcon Hill win the Cammidge trophy last week at Donny 6f, and looked very usefull, then I see him entered in the Easter Stakes over 8f and being backed, then I read that MJ says his trip WILL be 6 or7f in Ahead on the Flat, and will be aimed at the Cammidge 6f, which he won, and The Free Handicap at the Craven meeting over 7f, Then he will follow the foriegn route.
All Falcon Hill’s form suggests he will be a stiff 6f or possibly7f. horse. What I cannot understand is why MJ has spoiled this horses 3 yo record when he knew the colt would not stay, the horse went out like a light just after the 6f mark, after travelling really well and finished last of 9. any ideas why MJ would do this?
March 31, 2002 at 16:06 #99027probably owner pressure, paul.
Good luck
Ray.
May 30, 2002 at 15:35 #99028
Well, what a surprise Esc, in Sentinel goes at 5/2 by 5 lengths.
Well done with the MAX :)
One thing bothers me though, why haven’t the Jockey Club fined connections? It was obvious what was going on, the proof’s on this thread. So why haven’t the connections been done under the non-triers rule and have any questions been asked about yesterday’s win?
I’d be keen to know if the stewards called an enquiry…cheers, Rob
June 14, 2002 at 10:23 #99029
Esc,
You’ve probably noticed….Sentinel has now won three races in a row over tips ranging from 1m2f – 1m4f. Easy money eh?
