I may have a read of that book one day, ivanjica.
In the meantime, here’s a great bit of pop from Freddie and the boys- Another one bites the dust.
September 8, 2010 at 00:12 #316383Thx Mr Pilsen!
I am currently blasting my ears with my two fave Killing Joke tracks of all time:

The latter stops you in your tracks during the intro until normal service is resumed.
September 8, 2010 at 00:23 #316385Actually I was wrong to limit my previous post to two tracks, as it meant this work of genius was ignored:
September 8, 2010 at 10:24 #316418Came across these two tracks the other day whilst looking for something else. Anything here Stilvi in particular might know or appreciate, given his regular posts of pleasing, interesting French language tracks?
ROSE – Yes We Did

I can’t claim to be an expert on Rose but I had toyed with the idea of putting up ‘La Liste’ which I think is her most well known song. The second track isn’t melodic enough for my tastes but I guess 800,000 people disagree!
This is my current favourite, although I think the video is dire elements of it might appeal to others:-

Two tracks, are you sure?

This reminds me so much of another band, but damned if I can think who it is right now. I’ll get back to you
September 14, 2010 at 00:44 #317443The.. ‘you know when you’re old’ thingy on racing forum brought this to mind..

I love the 60s style of dancing to the tunes of the day.

Super version by a great singer – shame that most people will never look beyond ‘Cinderella’.
September 16, 2010 at 19:29 #317851Nice one stilvi, and here’s another nice one-
Stars- Dead Hearts.
September 16, 2010 at 21:51 #317878Relistened to Laura Marling’s latest today and have decided that she’s probably the biggest talent in the female singer/songwriter brigade since the likes of Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell. Noticed that Linkin Park have a best selling album again;does anyone rate it? Used to be my favourite band years ago, but they never seemed to come up with any new material.

Oooh, is that new product by Stars? Yay! Here’s hoping the new stuff can rival this (to my mind) career highlight from all of six years ago now;
