Aye, whilst at the same time trying to be Altered Images’ concerted effort to evoke the more disco essence of the by then just-about split-up Blondie. Probably my favourite track of theirs, just about.
Fair play to Jeremy Vine who played it the other on his show. Sound bloke Vine, I bumped into him and his brother outside the Kentish Town Forum following a Magazine reunion gig in February.
Definitely a big music fan, Mr Vine, and I think possibly the first man ever to play any Smiths on daytime Radio 2 many years ago. His brother’s pun-heavy live stand-up shows ("Live in Concrete", I think the last tour was dubbed) are a scream, too.
