Not after his exploits at Northampton..Evans is far better.

You’ve bashed me up twice in one sentence…
So Rovers will escape relegation, go on a winning run, finish in the playoffs and gain promotion
whilst Gary Johnson will leave Taunton after leading them to relegation and getting them bankrupt paying his wages

Sorry Nathan, Ididnt mean it to be so bad. I thought Taunton were doing quite well this season, hopefully Gary will lead them to safety, and make a late run to the play off’s.
As for Evans, according to his Wikki..(very colourful history).
Evans was appointed as manager of League Two club Stevenage on 16 March 2022, the club sitting in 22nd position just three points clear of the relegation zone with the team below having two games in hand. Survival was secured with three matches remaining after a run of ten points across Evans’s first six matches, culminating in a 2–0 home win over Tranmere Rovers, saw his side move seven points clear of Oldham Athletic who were relegated at Stevenage’s expense.
So The Gas will survive, top seven finish 100/1, Champions 1250/1 and relegation is 9/2. If I recall, you have the gas to go down at 18s, consult a cash out expert ;-)

CAS, Southport wont go down, Phil Brown is doing wonders at Peterborough Sports, they should take one spot.
Good to see Merthyr doing well, would be a good addition to the EFL in the future.

Paddy Power do offer a cash out on Rovers… I still think they will stay up and even more so now with the new manager, however Newport won last night to tighten it all up again and at £1.50 stake money @18’s its more to gain than lose so I’ll let it run as with my stakes its more “fun” bets than anything, although I do always try and finish in profit.

Cobbs did well to keep the score down to 2-0, the Landafar curse struck again, with one of the two chosen goal scorers being injured after 17 mins..no impact sub in league 1 and the second subbed on 75 mins.

Another shot in the Boston V Brackley National League tonight.
    BTTS and Brackley win 4@5s
    Brackley to win 1-3 1@28s.

Brackley Correct score 2-1 returned 10, 3-1 would have been nice.

We had a better team and manager back then.

I see Sothport had 1200 attendance yesterday, thats fantastic. The Port Chat match thread suggests a draw was snatched from a win due to keeper error. But yes a lot of posters on there are very worried about relegation.

    Bolton V Northampton H 1/3 D 4/1 A 8/1 (Freds)
I dont think the odds reflect Boltons recent performances, they have not been great. Although Cobbs form is shocking, they were well ontop against Stockport County in the first half. Stockport made four subs at HT, which shows Cobbs have moved on and managed to not concede in the bore draw. Added spice for this, is Kevin Nolan managing against his former club. The Bolton fans forum, suggests there is some sickness in their squad, away win 8s is worth a shot.

I couldn’t go to Haig Avenue yesterday but as you say 1,200 in attendance is a very good figure, especially considering that we have not won a 3pm home match since last August! I suppose Liverpool, Everton and Preston having no matches might have put a few on the gate.

Chris Renshaw is a good keeper. He kept us in plenty of matches last season and in one or two this campaign. Unfortunately he is prone to errors and they have been creeping in a bit more recently.

It was frustrating to only draw yesterday. All of the five teams below us had their games called off, so it was a missed opportunity to pull away from them.

I do post on Port Chat but under a different name from here.

I couldn’t get to Southport in time on Saturday, so I went to watch my local non league team South Liverpool play Wythenshawe instead.

As usual, South’s photographer took a few pictures which were later posted on X. Unfortunately I appear in one of them, although mercifully facing away from the camera.

I am on the left of the picture in the brown coat. Try not to laugh at my South bobble hat. I actually think it is quite fetching!
