################################Only 5 of us turning in winners this Saturday so no Big Bucks for the remainder, but JBALE turned in a fantastic Nap selection in INDIAN CASTLE romping home at 14/1 and elevating him up the leaderboard to a very respectable 5th position, well done jbale

Near miss of the week goes to Gumsy who had a 25/1 Nap Baile Anrai come in 2nd
Next time Stevie
Dess glad to hear you had a few pennies on Robin Hoods Bay at Lingfield, what a great weight carrying performance by last years winner, that was a tricky race lots of decent runners.
With current leader Jonova2003 failing to score…here are the horses who made a difference to the leaderboard this week:-
INDIAN TRAIL – 14/1
Napped by jbale
ROBIN HOOD’S BAY 4/1
Napped by Triptych also selected by DessSIDE STEP 7/2
Chosen by Steve75VALDEZ 15/8
Napped by Nathan Hughes
(don’t you hate it Nathan when they come in at 15/8 and not 2/1
x)Well done to all with winners this week and to everyone else for taking part..come back next week when Des will be wide awake to host the Compy.x Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 26, 2014 at 10:31 #466077Yes at times it can be a pain in the arse. I wasn’t to bothered with it yesterday as I was on at 4/1 on Ginger’s comp before Rock on Ruby was a non runner so it’s a case of swings and roundabouts.
When I first joined the forum, I can remember moaning about horses price changing from after the off to the result going up and Ginger put in a 1000 word reply about it being my fault and a price should always be taken etc, etc, etc, etc.
My reply was you don’t enter bob’s comp then.

January 26, 2014 at 22:36 #466171Yes, like I took 10/1 Birdman last week in the Winter Comp and it romped home at 25/1
The best price is usually, but not always, the best you can get. You did really well with that 4/1 Nathan.
Sometimes I think it’s harder to pick just 3 horses to win because you need a fairly chunky SP, and be lucky with your Naps, to get up the leaderboard.
Do you think Ginger would come a and play in our little compy for a few weeks, still plenty of time for him to catch Jonova
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 27, 2014 at 11:49 #466205You can ask Ginger.
The last time I asked him something I got a long essay back and by the time I had read it I was late picking the boy up from school and got a telling off from the teacher…….
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 27, 2014 at 15:14 #466232I was a bit disappointed that no bonus is given for actually picking 3 winners. If not a full extra point then a fraction say "0.1" something to act as a tie breaker if finishing level on points with someone else.

Nathan can you roll out the Starmix if someone picks 3 winners or in the event of a tiebreaker act as referee while they fight over the fried eggs

Have to have a chat with Dess about bonus points RR but a valid point, maybe it could be a bonus 5 points for 3 winners 2/1 and above, we’ll mull that one over, but it would probably have to start for the flat compy after the Grand National final day now.
It’s a just for fun compy all the prizes are virtual goodies at the end of the day and a big pat on the back from all of us.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 29, 2014 at 10:28 #466412I will send anyone with 3 winners of 2/1 or bigger sp a packet of Starmix minis upto and including Grand National weekend.
Cant be any fairer then that……..

Thanks Nathan, that’s really generous of you:
We’ll call it the Starmix Challenge and add it to the thread..I will email Des to advise..should be fun I wonder who will be first to claim the prize
To be fair…if you yourself should pick 3 winners of 2/1 or over I will send you a packet of Starmix minis Nathan so lets see who’s first to get their name on the Starmix Challenge Hall of Fame….
…that should make RR happy although he was rather partial to Polo Mints if I remember rightly.
