I’d like to raise an objection to the awarding of 40 points to Jonova,
He has clearly altered his selections after the stated cut off time.

 I know this is only a fun comp, but I think the rules should be adhered to & in fairness to everyone his selections should be Void

Must admit Hot Fuss when I first saw the Edit in Jonnovas post I felt much the same and then like you I though only a for fun compy but there are lots of competitions on here where editing is a strict taboo, I thought it was taken as said that no posts would be edited after the Deadline on here.

I’m going to email Des and also ask Nathan who is also a TRF competition Moderator to make a ruling on this.
Also could Jonnova come back to please explain exactly what he altered.

Back on Yahoo Des and I used to photocopy the final choices at Deadline but it’s not always possible as I’m often out.
Maybe the Moderators have snapshots of Competition entries throughout the day.

I have put in the new rule regarding Editing as it wasn’t there from the start, it won’t be happening again.

Such a shame when a 20/1 winner is involved but if there are more objections then we must take an action in fairness to everybody.

Hope that Jonnova will come on and explain what actually happened.

I know the edit came before the 20/1 winner, and it’s most likely it was only a minor alteration, but either we all entitle to edit our post, or none us are.

It is a shame but the only fair thing is to delete Jonava 40 points.

Just a quick update on the situation:#Stewards Enquiry#
Have emailed Des but as yet no reply so must wait for confirmation
from him before taking action.
Also PM to Nathan with his full backing for any decision taken by Des and myself..thanks Nathan.

It looks very much like Jonnova’s entry will be voided in view of the fact that he edited his post after the Deadline, the points will be adjusted back.

All TRF Competitions have a NO EDIT or changes to original posts and bob rolf’s own compy would have voided the entry, so looks like we have no other option.

Hope that Jonnova will continue to play in the compy knowing that this was an unfortunate one off incident but that the rules must be adhered too.

Yes unfortunately I agree with this pending decision as players editing in future could always hark back to "Well Jonnova’s was allowed".

Nobody enjoys taking a players points away but the Competition must be seen to be fair at all times.
Hard call to make but had some advice from Nathan and know from past similar instances on another site that Des will back up the decision although, like myself, sorry to have to do it.
