Well done all who kept the faith with Haiti Couleurs. That was a hell of a performance from a class horse and a jockey whose confidence in his judgement is such a huge part of his success. A soft ground Gold Cup would give him every chance of leading throughout.

He might be a sitting target for the Cromwell horse but he’s a good jumper and he’ll def get up the hill , love him

Great to see the horse back on track. WD winners. Never really understood the whole weight carrying thing, its relative to the horses hes racing, a good chunk of whom were out of the handicap so if anything its an easier task. its only slightly more than they all carry in a Gold Cup anyway, not as if hes being asked to carry me after 3 days of Christmas dinner leftovers haha

A great performance by Haiti and Bowen. I have a long memory and for me that’s up there with Native River, Master Oats and Run and Skip- all of whom ran with great credit the following March at Cheltenham. He may not be quite good enough to win it, but he’ll make it a real hard race. I still don’t know if the JP horse is a potential dual winner or a Lord Windermere who beat an off-colour Galopin in a very weak Gold Cup- tomorrow will tell us a lot (love that Gerri C is back as well).
What is certain is that if the King George principals (except Banbridge who will probably wait for Aintree) turn up, plus Haiti C, Grey Dawning and the contenders from the Savills it will be an epic Gold Cup.
